lol no. Like I put a bunch of photos stating before wedding or wedding preparations, it was us shopping writting invo cards, and one envelope with a bunch of nikah photos stating at the back of the envelope "Nikah" Honeymoon and so on... However, I did write at the back of each photo when it was taken and other ppl's names who were in the photos with me :)

Phew... i was thinking you did what I thought and I was like :o thats way too much work ??? I tried writing at the back but the photo paper was too slippery for the ink to retain.

So the people who were having trouble with logging in to check application status, could you please share when your file was transferred to Ottawa/Islamabad. I want to compare it with my timeline.

I would put a blank sticker on the back of each photo and then write on it.

I have been told by a couple of people that any applications filed recently will be processed fast (they have quoted 6 months, which I am very skeptical about) and the applicant will be allowed to come in Canada on temporary visit visa and will be on conditional PR for 3 years before they are given PR. Thoughts?

h0pe ths news iz true.

I just received all paper from my Wife today and will going to send the application very soon.

But I have a little issue, the pictures she sent (PP size) I just checked and measure them and the size from Chin to Crown is not between 25 to 30 mm but 35 mm :( (full size is ok 35mm x 45mm) Those photographs in Pakistan don't know anything :S this piss me off, Is this ok to send like this ? or I risk to get all my file back because of this ? Has anyone had this issue before ? did you guys check this Chin to Crown size ?

Also some of the forms my wife signed and dated it in blue (all other info filled is printed in black) Will this cause any problem ?

Thanks for your help :)

Guys, can anyone tell me where in Islamabad I can get the Urdu Nikkah Nama translated? Even though I have an english one as well which we signed at our Nikkah but the regional checklist asks for an Urdu Nikkah Nama. Any input is appreciated.

If you have filled the English (just like me I have filled both too) you don't need to send the urdu one, the check list is outdated and I think at that time the english version was not available. If you have registered the English nikah nama with Seal of registrar , it will be fine, you can also attest the english nikah nama from Foreign office.

But if you really want to get it translated, you can do it at Kachari in Islamabad they have a proforma ready made they just fill it and then Notary public attest it (it is very cheap like 100 rps max). Or 2nd option is from Foreign office, advantage of foreign office is that you can attest at the same time but there is a lot of rush there.

Did you send the english nikkah nama attested copy with your application and why get the original attested? Isn't attestation for copies only? My issue is that in the pictures it shows us signing Urdu nikkah nama and If i send the original english one, them losers checkin our file may get confused.....say what?

Because some papers even original need to be attested by foreign office, like Nikah nama and Birth certificate.

Oh you did such close of the picture :O Mine wast just far and only picture have is of my wife signing it and people around me signing it but not me.

If you are worried about it, then get it translated, it is very easy and doesn't cost much and can be done quickly in kachari. Or other choice is to send pictures that are not very close up.

So someone in the CPP-Ottawa thread just got a response from Ottawa regarding the processing times:

Application Received Date Review Date* By what date can you expect to receive the next update from CPP-O?

before 1 September 2011 On or before 28 February 2013 By 28 February 2013
1 September – 30 November 2011 On or before 31 March 2013 By 31 March 2013
1 December – 28 February 2012 On or before 31 May 2013 By 31 May 2013
1 March – 31 May 2012 On or before 31 August 2013 By 31 August 2013
... after 1 June 2012 After 31 August 2013 After 31 August 2013

So these guys are just working on files which were transferred to them before Sep 2011...
So this means we are looking at atleast 19 months before our files even get opened by CPP-Ottawa, not to mention the processing time beyond that.
It seems CPP-Ottawa is the worst thing that could have happnd to the CIC-I applicants, we would have been better off if our files went to Islamabad!
