CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2012 -2013

well I am actually filing my case through a consultant (finalizing the forms this week), will cost me 3grand but he did it for a friend of mine and his wife got here in 14months which is why I am using him. Another consultant who is a friend of a friend said it is 6months for sure. I checked with the MP office, nothing, my current consultant, nothing and browsed everywhere on the net for a news clip but no luck.
I think the consultant who told me must have had an epiphany

Whatever happened to the meeting in sauga on the weekend to file a petition or protest? I am seriously thinking about going to the international court of law as i feel this is totaly inhumane to keep your spouse away from you for so long and make it a "human right" issue. Anyone second that?

I paid $1500 too to the lawyer. It really isn't worth it to be honest. I just didn't have time to go through all the forms in depth so just wanted to save time.

I paid $1500 too to the lawyer. It really isn't worth it to be honest. I just didn't have time to go through all the forms in depth so just wanted to save time.

The only reason why I decided to use him is not to have any regrets later on (if I had used a consultant, maybe i would have gotten the sponsorship done quicker) so just a mental satisfaction thing. I am not sure if the "guys" have heard this....agar phuphi ko.....chahcha hoti. ;D plus they do know what CIC expects to see so proofs, backups....they look at it from CIC's point of view.
Rest is all Allah's will, we can only try.

Assalamualaikum All,

I am an FSW1 applicant and applied in May, 2011,waiting for PPR for last 5 months.

Actually I didn't add my wife in my initial app (didn't pay the application fee) coz she was having her studies, and we decided to add her up after having residence, from Canada.

I informed the Visa office about our marriage and submitted original marriage, birth, educational certificates, FRC, her PP copies, marriage pics, PP size pics, etc with the initial application in May, 2011, with a covering letter stating about our intentions. (I got our marriage pics, educational, marriage and Birth certs with our Meds in 01 Sep, 2012).

We got blessed with a baby girl and sent her docs to the VO, did her Med and the reports reached the VO in Nov, 2012.

I was thinking that the PPR will not take long to be issued, but it has already taken 5 Months since my Med done.

Since My wife has just completed her Graduation, I am thinking of paying fee for her along with our daughter, to get the PPRs for all in one go, because I have already submitted all their Docs, medicals for all have been completed, PCCs have been submitted.

I think I will just have to pay the fee 550+490 for my wife and 150 for my daughter.

IMO It will save us from the hassle of applying on shore, and then waiting again for 1-2 years checking our mail boxes several times daily.

My question to all of u with relative exp/information,

Is it a good time to add them up at this stage? or Will it drag away my already awaited PPR more further?

and
As I have already provided VO with my family's Info, will it take shorter to complete process in case I apply for their sponsorship after reaching CA?

Can I call my family on visit to CA soon after my arrival and apply for their PR, while having them with me there?

Me and my friend in similar situation will wait for your feedback, as we dont have any info on the topic..

I was given the same information by two different sources. Someone I know told me his uncle applied for his wife and told him it will be 6months. Another immigration consultant told me the same thing and said that CIC has not updated but their gazette has this information. I tried to confirm but nowhere it mentions anything about 6months. I hope this rumor becomes true...hazaron khawahiseyn aise k har.....

This is complete BS, according to official figures which contains all files processed by CHC Islamabad in Excel sheet (provided by CIC to data website) The minimum number of months took for file is 15 months for spouse (that was 20% of cases). Look at the screenshot I took from the excel file. So anyone that say his wife of her husband came in 6 months is laying and not telling you the real date when they applied. And just showing off to tell you that they are special and they got it quicker then normal people. How on earth someone can get in 6 month when back in 2011/2012 it took almost 2 months just to get approval of first stage and then CHC Islamabad don't even open your file for almost a year.

when was that ? in 2012 ? or in 2007-2009 ? because till 2009 ISB cases were done in 5 to 9 months. It is only from 2010 that it start to become worst.

Got a quick question. Is that IMM 5669 Schedule A Background need to be filled by both, Principal Applicant and Spouse (sponsor)? This form does not show up on the list of required documents for Sponsor so I thought better check here as the form itself got the option of The Principal Applicant and The Spouse both...
