All the calls for raising a collective voice in these forums against the injustice we are suffering have historically fell on deaf ears.

You have to understand, each person has too much to lose and the pakistani mentality is that of the oppressed. The mentality of fear of raising a voice against injustice, being scared that ones own application will somehow get tarnished if they are part of such a movement.. The mentality is to lay low, tolerate the injustice, eat rusgullay and wait..

Yes everyone should have faith in Allah, but it does not mean we should silently suffer injustice..
You wanna take action? I'll be the first to raise my hand first, what do you have in mind? Come up with a plan and lets do it homie..

I agree here. I was thinking that everyone of us should email all the higher authorities at the same time like our foreign minister, Canadian ambassador to Pakistan and Pakistani ambassador to Canada - AT LEAST they should know about our situation.

Basil bhai we are all like family, you have always given us positive hopes and once you gave me a link of website with duas of sabr. Why are you so hopeless bhai your file got transferred in march so basically your processing started in March 2012, its not even a year. Why are u losing hope so early? See the cases of 2010, people have waited for 2 or 3 years for their visas and PPRs please stay strong. Withdrawing your application is very emotional decision when its not even a year since processing started. Please give eachother space and think for sometime. You have a kid too.

We all can only pray that everything gets back to normal for your family inshaaAllah Aameen.

its always sad to c an institution like marriage break. the worst part is when a child is involved. I just hope and pray tht you are able to overcome whteva problems big or small for da sake of ur child so tht he/she can have a complete family. CHC process being delayed shud give u all the more reason to fight n say "u know wht u can push me up the wall but i m not giving up". my uncle had been abroad for most of his life n his family was in Pakistan n in those days there was no skype only expensive telephone calls but they still stayed together. so pray dont give up!

I just checked the timeline for ISB ... now it has increased to 28 months.

Rather than improving, they have increased more.

I don't care what it takes but I am going to protest about it. Honestly, it is our right and I think people should speak up and protest about it.

We are being so much defensive about speaking up and protesting vocally about this nonsense. We pay taxes and we expect gov to do something about this nonsense.

I don't know how many of you guys watch 11th Hour show by Waseem Badami on Ary News...but i was watching it n he plans to talk on his show abt overseas high calling rates for Pakistan..What if we all go on his facebook page and request him to do a show about the timeline of 28months !

who knws ! if we all in majority bring this issue on his fb pg..he might consider doing a show on it! we will ask him to call in the officials n ask them abt this injustice !

It will only work if all of us commit to doing it..if 10-20 people or even more go all at once it will be more significant rather than just 2 people making this request.

I need we need to plan and get at least 40 to 50 people and go to immigration ministry office in ottawa.

Or we should talk to opposition mp like Olivia Chow ... she is very vocal about immigrants problem.

Say even every one of us can ask 10 family/freinds to support us, i think we can come up with dozens of people.

We are talking about peaceful protest and there is nothing wrong with it. It is our right to raise this issue since there is no voice for Pakistanis in Parliament.

Even I checked New delhi and their time remains same (10 months).

Guys, we have to do something here.

I highly doubt having something on Pakistani shows would make any difference.

I think it is not realistic approach to have something on Pakistani show where it has no impact on Canadian government policies.

We should try to get as much supposrt and head count from people on these forums, try to get friends and family on board and book a meeting with MP or immigration minister.

Something like town hall meeting where 100+ people can show up and raise this with Minister or MP.

I think first we should start gathering people and make sure we are all on same page.

If anything has to be done then it should be here in Canada. It is not Pakistani government issue where Supreme court of Pakistani can take suo-moto.

We have to take realistic approach on how to persue this rather than being idealistic.
