Some senior member can guide you better. I say use all three mediums and get an answer.

No phone number that I'm aware of. Email is the best in my opinion, considering that's the mode of communication the CIC offices seem to prefer. I believe the idea of contacting cic-Ottawa after the one year point is to be your own advocate and get to the bottom of what's happening, rather than relying on the word of staff at ur mp's office. (who usually lie about getting updates and just rely on previous outdated information)

Today is my last day on this site. It was an extremely useful site and thanks to everyone who contributed to educate me one way or the other. Sponsorship to Canada WILL NOT work for everyone, and unfortunately, we are one couple it didn't work out for.and have agreed to each move on as CIC completely screwed up our lives together. That being said, I know the bad guys out there have made the process so tough and good people end up getting refused. Good luck to all out there still expecting their decisions, and for those like me, take heart and move on. Life must always continue

I just hope this all is done by mistake! I cant even begin to imagine what u are going through right now. I can only pray and wish that Allah may give you both strength and takes you out of this tough situation. Aameen. You have been so so helpful for everyone of us Basil bhai if it can happen to you, it can happen to any of us and we should be mentally prepared for anything! :'( world doesnt end here.. It gives me pleasure when I read that any one of us has got any good news coz we all
Can understand eachother's condition and what we are going through. Today after reading Basil bhai's news im feeling really upset! CIC is screwing our lives up! May Allah gives courage to all of us to face any kind of result of our patience! Aameen!

To make things worse. Islamabad has gone up from 26 months to 28 months. I suppose they should just close down the canadian high commission.

Making us the 2nd highest time waiting period. Behind kenya at 29.

Thanks so much for your kind words Bunty Sis, We got married in June. 2011 and started the immigration process in Jan. 2012.we did have irreconcilable differences steming from immigration process and all the undue stress CIC has put us through. I cannot go to live with her in her country and she cannot come here, so what is the point being married to each other?
