Yes, that is quite normal. Many people are finding out that their file is actually at CPP-O
No one really knows the length. What i can tell you is that there are files from November 2011 in Ottawa and they haven't heard anything yet.
That will give you an idea of their "backlog"....

My letter stated that my file was sent to islamabad for further processing, but i guess not. After asking my MP to check the status of my file, this is reponse we have received.

We have received the following message from the Ottawa Case Processing Pilot office:
Thank you for your query. The paper file is currently at CPPO. These cases are jointly processed by CPPO and Islamabad. The applicant will be contacted by Islamabad when it is time for the next stage of processing. Please refer to the CIC website for processing times for Islamabad cases: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/fc-spouses.asp


Does anyone know how long CPPO takes to process our cases?

Fort those friends that recently got GCMS notes: In the 'Authority to Release Personal Information' form to be filled by person being sponsored, what did you enter for "Name of Office where the application was submitted"? Did you put CPC Mississauga or did you put Islamabad/Ottawa where the applicant's file has been sent to?

So I sent my application to cpc-m on the 9th expected delivery was yesterday but still not delivered.

I used Canada Post Xpresspost w/ signature & mailed it to the P.O. Box address found in the guide.

Did I just delay my mail? I have now read other posts saying that regestered mail requiring signatures to CPC P.O. Box usually get delivered in a week or so.

Any experiences fellow members had, either positive or negative?

I had a bad experience, they last my application and delay my file almost more than a week. After calling them and mentioned that I how important is document and can't not put any $ value to it, they finally find it and it was received safely.

Just keep the tracking number with you and don't lose it.

BTW i sent it the same way and it should be deliver in 3 business days.

When I mailed the application, it showed expected delivery date would be next day. On the tracking site it still shows expected delivery date as yesterday's date.

I'm just wondering now if I should've just mailed using regular mail or not taken the signature option.

I just rechecked the tracking number website and by the grace of Allah it was delivered successfully yesterday by Canada Post to CPC-M.
I guess Canada Post systems are just a bit slow to update.

Shows signature name not available, guessing that's bc it was mailed to the P.O. Box. But I'm satisfied!

I got so worried over just this one day delay Plz Plz God help me though this long and painstaking process! :$

Hopefully we get reunited sooner than later.

Glad that everything work out well... Now the real game began which is waiting...I am sure everything will work out there as well, just be patient.

in my timeline my in laws mentioned that me and my wife started contact on September 2011 to march 2012 and in april my wife came to Pakistan for wedding, now they have asked me to give my WARID bills of sept 2011 to march 2012 showing the call details. and I don't have those bills as at that time I had a prepaid number, and my in laws have mentioned in timeline that these bills are attached with the file.
now I want to know is this a big deal?
other than this we have a complete package, wedding pics, ptcl bills, venue bills, honeymoon pics, wedding pics, Canadian doctor certificate, and lots more.
and December 2012 warid bill which is full of calls from me to my wife.
so tell me is this a big deal?

More proof you have is better for your case.

However, seems like you provided sufficent amount of proof. I don't believe its a huge deal. But if you can get the bills then its even better.

I have officially joined the bandwagon.
Just submitted my application package to CPC-M this morning, will arrive to CPC tmrw (10/1/13) inshAllah and then the 'fun' begins

Sponsoring my wife, we filled all the forms ourselves without any lawyers. We had a FULL wedding in Pakistan few months ago.

Submitted all our required docs: Cover letter, forms for parts 1,2 & 3. Submitted all original supporting docs (My passport copy and employment letters, option C, etc. & Nikkah nama, birth certificate, educational, cnic/passport, etc. from her side).

Also sent lots of Proof of relationship (95 pics before/during/after wedding, greeting cards, emails/calling/text/chat/facebook/skype history, receipts for gifts we gave each other, airline tixs/boarding passes, my old expired passport showing my entry/exit stamps from last 4yrs that i went to visit her, etc. ETC.

Hopefully I have covered all the bases and will hear a quick positive response from the immigration ppl. As we all hope and pray.

Remember us in your prayers, as I hope inshAllah we will all very soon be reunited with our loved ones - Ameen.

Just curious what happens from here? What kind of a reply am I waiting for now and how long should it take?
File# UCI# which embassy our file goes to, etc. etc.
