I personally believe you should wait for first intial reply, then give out details. Though, i recommend you call mp rather then email (more productive).

what do you guys think? is it fine to give away client id, with names and dob in the first email to MP or is it better to wait for their response and then tell them once the MP is willing to help?

your concerns are valid. However, its difficult for any forum member to comment on this issue. Since this ottawa pilot is relatively new for all of us. It could be that many files are being transfered all over. I can't tell you for sure the reason why they forwarded it to ISB. (Nobody can only probably VO). I hope you didnt lose 4 months, usually the say that they forward a file wit a letter stating when application was filed. (dont know if its true or not).

Dear All -- would be interested to hear your reaction and get senior members' guidance on the following: I just called the Immigration Call Center. They told me my file was transferred to Islamabad from Ottawa in October 2012. They said there is a criteria (unspecified) by which they decide whether the file will be processed in Islamabad or Ottawa. Initially, Mississauga Case Processing Center forwarded it to Ottawa in June 2012 upon sponsorship approval. But then, Ottawa decided in October 2012 that they can not process my file, so they sent it to Islamabad. The criteria is unknown i.e. nobody (including call center agents) knows whether it's a good thing or bad thing if one's file is in Ottawa or Islamabad, or based on what they decide where to process it. I filed for sponsorship in March 2012 and they approved sponsorship and transferred my file to Ottawa in June 2012. Now I'm wondering if I have lost the 4 months between June and October i.e. Did my file go to the back of the queue when it reached Islamabad in October? It's all unclear.

Thanks for your perspective. Cheers.

I think it's a good sign as I remember other forum members mentioned that OTT will send file to ISB to issue the visa.

Salam guys, I hope everyone is fine here.
my in laws have received my full documents today, so they will be applying in next couple of days.
I want to know what happen next? who will receive the UCI number? and that ecase thing. What is that?

I have officially joined the bandwagon.
Just submitted my application package to CPC-M this morning, will arrive to CPC tmrw (10/1/13) inshAllah and then the 'fun' begins :)

Sponsoring my wife, we filled all the forms ourselves without any lawyers. We had a FULL wedding in Pakistan few months ago.

Submitted all our required docs: Cover letter, forms for parts 1,2 & 3. Submitted all original supporting docs (My passport copy and employment letters, option C, etc. & Nikkah nama, birth certificate, educational, cnic/passport, etc. from her side).

Also sent lots of Proof of relationship (95 pics before/during/after wedding, greeting cards, emails/calling/text/chat/facebook/skype history, receipts for gifts we gave each other, airline tixs/boarding passes, my old expired passport showing my entry/exit stamps from last 4yrs that i went to visit her, etc. ETC.

Hopefully I have covered all the bases and will hear a quick positive response from the immigration ppl. As we all hope and pray.

Remember us in your prayers, as I hope inshAllah we will all very soon be reunited with our loved ones - Ameen.

Just curious what happens from here? What kind of a reply am I waiting for now and how long should it take?
File# UCI# which embassy our file goes to, etc. etc.

Thanks.

Good to hear about your application.
Next you will have to wait for approx 2 month (At times more or less). To get stage one approval from Mississagua processing center.
UCI number will be given to sponser (In laws in Canada)
Ecas is a tracking system that tells you the progression of your file. (Information for that will be given after stage 1 approval)

Good Luck.

hi all,

My letter stated that my file was sent to islamabad for further processing, but i guess not. After asking my MP to check the status of my file, this is reponse we have received.

We have received the following message from the Ottawa Case Processing Pilot office:
Thank you for your query. The paper file is currently at CPPO. These cases are jointly processed by CPPO and Islamabad. The applicant will be contacted by Islamabad when it is time for the next stage of processing. Please refer to the CIC website for processing times for Islamabad cases: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/fc-spouses.asp

Does anyone know how long CPPO takes to process our cases?

just ask ur inlaws ur file number or copy of approval letter so u can check ecase

Yes, Mrs.Sam is right regarding UCI number. Secondly, Ecas is a system at the cic website. CIC will email your file/UCI number; punch that in on "ecas", along with other basic info. (Found on cic website). Simple as that and your good to go...
