I don't think so. I believe the only time CIC shows concern is when the sponsor receives welfare while sponsoring his/her spouse. Of course if the spouse comes to Canada and starts receiving assistance within three years- then the sponsor owes the assistance received to the government. They will find out one way or the other!
Hmmm thanks for reply. So u mean child care care benefits doesn't come under financial assistance n it doesn't effect the spousal sponsorship case, its a right of canadian born child?

why doesnt anybody who knows for sure if his/her file is in Isl., emails them and ask. is tarhan doodh ka doodh pani ka pani hojayega

my file is in islamabad......and i got the same reply but a lil change dat ottowa wasn't written.......it was just written dat ur file is in process.....

Seee now this isnt for sure.. file maybe in Islamabad. there is still that maybe.
Thats why I said someone who is a 100% sure that his/her file is in Islamabad should email Ottawa asking for the and if that person gets the same answer then Ottawa people are lying and it is automated and they dont really check they just send a reply. But if someone doesnt get this response and Ottawa exactly tells him or her that file is in Islamabad then obviously they actually look in to the system to find about the file.

It's been month an half that my husband sent more document that ISM asked him to send them. since that we didn't hear anything back from them. Does anybody know why.

I was told my file is in Ottawa and it has been updated since it was transferred. Just relax, emailing them again and again is not a good option.

Hey! I also got the same response from ottawa in which 'its in process' was mentioned but it didn't specifically mention Ottawa. So how to I find out if its in Ottawa or Islamabad? How did u find out its in islamabad?

No I haven't called them. What should I say if I call them?

Simply ask what's the update on file and you want the step 1 completed ASAP

yea I agreed
if she approved stage 1 then no use of calling them
