CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2012 -2013

Assalam o alaikum everyone,

I pray everybody got together with their spouses soon.......InshaAllah

I have applied for my wife on 26 November 2012 and we are expecting our first baby in January 2013. I am planning to go on parental leave. I got a question: If I claim EI (parental leave) Will it effect my case at all.......

If you get approved before you apply for EI, then you should be okay. Just make sure you don't make a mistake of telling CHC-Islamabad that you are on EI or visiting your wife, otherwise you will be in there for a long long wait. Also, if you are Canadian Citizen then make sure you apply for your child's passport right away. If you are still a permanent resident, then you will need to inform CHC-Islamabad and have your baby added to the application. Also look into EI guidelines, as if you can leave the country while you are on paternity leave/ EI.

but u think UCI number is asked in a form with barcode.. and what they simply do is read the bar code so its of no use of writting with pen on paper ... its better u leave black

Its not what you do. Its what is written for you. Your file could be the best file they ever seen and it takes 26 months. Or your file could be the worst file ever and it could take 7 months. You see, CHC will do as they wish, they gave you a time limit 26 months. They will give you an answer before that inshAllah. In how long will you get a reply?? maybe 6 months or maybe 26 months. Can't say bro, that's what forum members trying to explain. Its a waiting game......

my in laws are giving lots of proof like wedding pics movie invitation card receipt of halls oour honeymoon pics, pics which we took while visiting relatives etc...all of these proofs are error free, so what do u think can cic process by file faster?

From my experience never leave things out blank. Its better to write N/A. There were issues with some people who left things blank and they had to redo forms in the future....

I lurk around here once in a while to catch up. My question is that my wife turned 18 after I sent in my application. So I didn't send a police clearance report for her. I knew file will collect dust for a while but I think its time that I send the police clearance report.

My question is how do I update my file and send in the new documents??

aftr dat my file has been trasferd to CHC-I, according to the email

at the end of the email its written:
" yours sincerely, officer PV-CPPO, case processing centre mississauga"

since then i dint get any reply n i dont knw wher is my file


can anyone tel me where is it??
how much more i have wait for the process??
i hav applied for trv also, submitted my applicatn today
i hav a son, 3 months old n hav applied for his citiznshp certifict n passport togethr..
r ther any chances il get it??

dont know when u will get it ,but here is a suggestion that plz contact the member of parliament of the area in canada to ensure that ur file is in ISL/OTTAWA, so that u can stay in peace(comparatively) :

They say no.. but you never know, they're all corrupt.

1) find out by calling call center, find out my contacting mp, find out my emailing ottawa and ISB. (3 options)

2) process maximum length is 26 month. however, no exact time when you will be approved.

3) yes, there are chances you will get it. (maybe not together) In how long you will get it? No one can tell you (not even immigration people)

so i called the call center regardin this ottawa pilot project the lady told me that the project is basically set up to help the islambadad and couple other visa offices and the time period is 1 year if your file lookss thann the way she was sayin that u should be able to get the visa in 1 year and that time starts when u apply sooo i guess itz sort of good newssssss

Brothers and Sisters, recently i talked with my MP and also my lawyer as to whats up with my sponsor case.

My file was recieved on January 27/2012
Transferred on April 26/2012.

MP called me in 3 days and told that my file is in Islamabad and they are currently in process and they told me to bare for couple of more months.
My Lawyer had sent an e-mail and he recieved a phone call 7- 9 days from Islamabad and he told me that the case is in process and they are doing a backround check. I recieved This info back in early November).
