So did some digging and it seems like as of Sep 2011, CIC-Ottawa Pilot has the power to process cases to final decision:

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Phase 1 – File Creation
Period: April 2011 to September 2011

Step Action
1 CBSA forwards the paper file to CPP-O.
2 CPP-O creates the GCMS file, initiates mandatory checks (security checks only) and forwards the file to the visa office for processing. CPP-O will not communicate with the client or the sponsor during this phase to avoid confusion for the client.
During Phase 1, CPP-O will develop quality assurance tools for this pilot and create guidelines to help triage files into different risk categories, with the assistance of Operational Management and Coordination (OMC) Branch and International Region.

Phase 2 – Full Processing of Cases
Period: September 2011 – April 2012

Step Action
1 CBSA forwards the paper file to CPP-O.
2 CPP-O creates the GCMS file and initiates mandatory checks (security checks only).
3.a For files with relatively low admissibility risks, CPP-O will process cases to final decision. Permanent Resident Visas and Confirmations of Permanent Residence will be printed at the visa office. CPP-O will retain the file.
3.b For files with complex admissibility risks, the files will be sent to the visa office for processing. CPP-O will not communicate with the client or the sponsor to avoid confusion for the client.
CPP-O will send a copy of the IAD decision to the relevant visa office for those cases which CPP-O will process to final decision.

Its really funny how all humans are the same... I come here and see us all Pakistanis complaining about the wait time (we actually can) and I just went on the India thread and they are also complaining even though their timelines are a fraction of ours. I guess the moral of the story is no matter what we will always complain. I just found this quite amusing hence the share

so true!! even on this forum there r ppl who have submitted their passports for visa and still complain "why is it taking so long??"...dis comment makes me laugh

coz its like going to the washroom, the closer you get to it, the more the pressure increases, you are telling yourself that its okay you are almost there, but that's not the case however ;)

i hope you get the metaphor...

Heybuddy, thanks for reply.

I had ruksati done so they have all my pictures and everything. I am planning to send them my dubai trip pics/proofs voluntarily, is that okay you think? her medical is expirng this month, do u know when they will send us re-med or update request?

Appreciate your information,

Thanks

I personally think its fine; but others have said it might not be a great idea. I sent them the package because when I initially filled it was Nikkah case only and then I went back for the other Hopla so I wanted to make sure they have everything when my file gets touched.

its hard to control the mind and body when u have waited so long to see ur other half being apart from u since ur wedding day... which makes sense to complain or express feelings in someway other then crying or being moody... so, its very normal. u will be doing the same once u have waiting 20plus months to see ur love...

just pray that ur stress level is controlled and that ur not complaining...

Welcome,

My timeline is similar to yours; its normal not have heard anything yet. There will other correspondace before it will show as "decision made" for the time being all we can do is wait. Inshallah something will happen for us soon.

I believe your home address should show (current) and gets updated when the decision has been made on for your PR.
