Never mind! I just called my lawyer and she told me my file was transferred 10 days ago. Is there anything that I need to do right now ?

Hello Every one!!!

I applied for my wife sponsorship in Jan 2012 and file got transferred in Apr 2012. Online status still shows "Decision Made". No further correspondence. My wife medical is going to expire this month.

I am going to Dubai next month and she will be coming there too to spend some time with me.

Can please any one have an idea that what is the next step and when will they ask us to do re-medical and update proofs???

You and I are in the exact same boat, I sent a ton of stuff when I got back from my trip as voluntary supporting docs; try to accumulate as much stuff as you can so when they ask you can send it right away. Did you have a full wedding or just Nikkah? If you had only sent them proofs of Nikkah only then it wouldn’t be bad idea to send a voluntary supporting docs package, otherwise wait till they ask you for something.

I had ruksati done so they have all my pictures and everything. I am planning to send them my dubai trip pics/proofs voluntarily, is that okay you think? her medical is expirng this month, do u know when they will send us re-med or update request?

You can add me to the timeline. App filed July 31st 2012 and AOR received 28th September 2012, file also transferred on the same day.

Its really funny how all humans are the same… I come here and see us all Pakistanis complaining about the wait time (we actually can) and I just went on the India thread and they are also complaining even though their timelines are a fraction of ours. I guess the moral of the story is no matter what we will always complain. I just found this quite amusing hence the share

The only reason I found is when I got my MP involved. He told me my file was still in CIC-M

CIC call center agents for past five months just lied to me. They don't care and don't really check.

Ecas did say meds recieved but ecas is bias. (Dont trust that either)

I won't let them get away with this....

I hope your MP will be taking some action? This is just not right and I hope they work on your file right away.

i for one just cant seem to get a friggin reply from anywhere... its been more than 4 months since being approved, and no recognition what so ever or any replies to my queries either from any possible source... all the while people that even wrote an email yesterday or today are getting replies left right and center... this is truly depressing... is it really a crime to sponsor? this shit is getting to my head now...

I had emailed Ottawa to inquire if they received medical results of my spouse but they sent same genric reply that your application is in process. No action is required by you this time. I'm thinking of contacting MP. Can I go to MP office directly or I need to call first and make an appointment?
