I am literally on the edge right now, i have sent them numerous effing emails, without a single reply from anyone... there is a limit to the BS we should be going through... I can't believe the amount of horse crap we have to go through to get our significant others here legitimately... no wonder f'in people cheat their system, as that gets your file across faster while ppl like us suffer...

n guys i had my case filed in oct...file got isb in jan-12....i had rec a letter frm embassy in july askng for additional docs.....have submitted them...aftr this how long it takes for them to investigate backgrounds...when should i be expecting further reply from them

Applied for wife sponsership in feb 2012.

Approved for sponsership/transfer to ISB may 2012.

Oct 2 2012, after contacting MP and CIC agents (some who lied to me).

I FOUND OUT MY FILE WAS NEVER TRANSFERED OUT OF MISSISAGUA

They just left it there and nobody knows why it wasn't transfered........

Oh My Lord!!! I've been away from the forums for a few days and I just started to read some posts hoping I would see some good news.... I really can't beleive what happened to your file, this is absolutely unacceptable... You must get a hold of some media outlet and tell them what has happened to you, this is the sort of stuff they love to cover... I feel for you deeply, my heart hurts and my stomach turns thinking about how crazy this situation is... Best of luck.

So i emailed the Ottawa Pilot and they have confirmed that my file is sitting in Ottawa instead of ISB and "the application is in process at this time, no further action is required by me at this time."
This troubles me since I sent an additional proofs of relationship package to Islamabad a few weeks ago...
Any suggestions guys?
Should i send another copy of the additional proofs package to Ottawa as well just in case?

Yes send it again... I went through this already. I wrote a quick email explaining that I had sent stuff to CHC-I in the past and that here it was again incase it wasn't forwarded. I received an email back a week or so later saying that the information was now added to my file.

I am an applicant.......my medical was done on the 1st of nov 2011.....i filed my application on the 3rd of dec 2011.....my file was transfered to islamabad embassy on the 30th of jan 2012......wen the file was forwarded to the isl embassy i got a letter in which i got my UCI number and also FILE number......since then wenever i check my e-cas it says "Application Received". do they mention about "medical Received" also or not??? and its been like 9 months now.....my medical will expire on the 1st inshallah......so can neone help me...shud i email them asking about the processing time or not???

Don't worry, your situation is almost the same as me. No mention of "medical received" here either. Very normal. Just hang on, hopefully we'll get our remed and ppr very soon (inshallah tomorrow)

This is so pathetic...these CIC agents absolutely do not care about anyone. This system they have is so weak and disgusting. To have to wait for months and months and to hear this must be so painful. I am sorry to hear this...Lets Pray to ALLAH almighty that no one ever goes through this.
You should not have to wait another 9-10 months for ISB to work on this now.... everyone should keep getting some information on their files regularly.

I have sent in 2 emails in about 3 weeks to Ottawa office.
no reply

.. I am not asking them to write me a lengthy reply.
just tell me if my darn file in their office. :'(

Well at least jin ko reply aya hai they know that their file is not missing or lost.. It's there somewhere and someone out there is working on their file..

I just feel extra emotional about my file on long weekends for some reason lol :'(

just spoke to a nice lady in CIC call center.

I called the Mississauga number and she told me that she is NOT in Mississauga the moment. she is in the Montreal office.

I asked her to check where my file is at the moment. and she said that according to what she sees on her computer/system. Its still in Mississauga ( WTH? :'( why? )

so I asked her Why is it still sitting in missisauga? and she has no clue.

I also asked her about the Ottawa Pilot office, she confirmed that they do work on sponsorship's cases but only a lil they don't make any decisions and the file gets transferred to isb after Ottawa is done doing their lil work.

I told her I received a email back in May, stating that my file has been transferred to the visa office.. then why is it still there?.. again, she has no clue. Do they just get paid for looking at their computer and answering what they see? and have no clue about other common questions? :-\


well she did personally emailed me the email address for Mississauga office and also the fax number because they dont have a phone number for Mississauga office? yeah really ???
Now, i am going to email the Mississauga office again to see what kind of planes they are making out of my application papers!!! uff

Good Afternoon Everyone and Good Friday,

I'm so happy guys I found out today my file exact location and now I can sleep with peace at night. I followed up with my local area MP yesterday and he is out in Ottawa till the end of this week so I talked to his Assistant and asked her if she inquire about Where my file exactly located here in Ottawa or Islamabad? She sent a fax to Minister office yesterday and today in the morning someone called and give this information to her so she sent me an email and called me to see if i get it.
she provided me this information!

Application went to CPP Ottawa from Mississauga on July **, 2012
Medicals are valid until March **, 2013
After the Buffalo Embassy closed down, the processing times for Ottawa have changed
This being a new application, there is no processing time as of yet
Can follow up in 4 months

he reminded me about the golden rule. not to send anything if they dont ask for anything. it might delay ur case. if you haven't heard anything then it means everything is going fine.

checked and confirmed that the paper file of my application is still in Mississauga office but the electronic copy has been sent to isb.
Ottawa will not be doing on my file.

it takes 6-9 months for paper files to be actually transferred to isb and then sometimes people will receive their AOR at that time.

So do we know exactly what's happening? Are the files going to Ottawa first and then Islamabad? (What's the point of having the Ottawa team if it'll just delay it further)

Also guys, what are the chances of getting a visit visa after you have gotten your AOR ?

i was just thinking of sending some information on my own. but its not a good idea? and if i do end up sending extra information ,should i send it via email? like phone records etc? can i send it via email? since post doesn't seem like a good idea...or is it?

sending extra proofs wdhout asking by CHC is worthless....i dnt think they even bother that ..coz CHC acts beyond a lazy snail.... :
