Hey KFG bro,

I think you might have got me mixed up with the bro above. I never said anything about April :)

Anyways, this is the email I got from them:

Is this what others have received?
I'm worried that my name is in the email and not that of my wife :-X

That is good to know, I was told a wild goose tale on the phone. The agent must be on something. She said since CPC-M received my application on March 16th, I won't be approved before October. What BS!!

that is what you think! anyway not trying to be condescending but even CIC makes it clear you dont need a lawyer to fill these forms out! Plus over the years I have helped many individuals fill out their CIC forms and I have nothing to do with law! It's common sense and not complicated at all. Of course time can be a factor- but it is the same with other areas of life. you got to put in time and effort to make sure things are right ;D
so true,

I can't believe so many people almost waste all that money on lawyers for these simple forms. if you know that your case will be complicated, then that's a different case.

They were really simple forms and just had to ask yourself or your spouse for those questions.
no needs to pay lawyers all that free money. :P

If am not wrong may b that lady told u OCT bcoz when we submit our case after 82 working days they spose to aprove aligibilty of sponser and verify all thing about sponser... then case will b in ISB and Nikah paper and some other thing regarding principal aplicant and relationship they have to verify here in ISB so may b she was taking about that march aplicant cant b aproved b4 OCT and when it will aprove here that will b surity of visa but right now which aprovals we have its not garantee so may b she was talking about overall process aproval...

If you sent your application to CPC-M, and provided an email address, you should be receiving an email (includes approval) and mentioning the file number, and saying that it has been transferred to the Visa Office.

Our case was filed on March 30,2012 at CPC-M.
Email received on July 3, 2012 - Sponsorship approved - File number assigned - case transferred to Visa Office abroad. (not Islamabad for us)
(eCAS is updated accordingly as well.)

So just 1 email, it mentions the date they received your application, tells you you're approved, gives you the file number, and tells you about where your file is transferred, how to check status, contact info of visa office, etc.

(Note however, our approval email came from CPP-Ottawa even though case was sent to CPC-M.) I guess they must be sharing files between CPP-O and CPC-M to move things faster.

So those that provided email address, you will get an email, not a letter.
If you did not give an email, then wait for the letter.

I got the email from CPC-M but it's just an AOR (5/30). It has the file number and the UCI but no notice of approval nor is there any mention of the file being transferred abroad.

hey guys, i was asked for additional docs+ supp form in may 2012. i sent in all the requested docs towards the end of may.
I was thinking of sending in more evidence+ proof of relationship. is that a good idea? I am wondering if me sending in additional docs would slow down my process or make it more complicated since they would have to examine the new documents that I am thinking of sending in...

any guidance would be great! thanks

I dont think it will slow down. But I will let senior members give you some more insight.

When was your file transfered to Islamabad?

That's weird. In normal circumstances one would receive an email clearing stating, that your applications has been approved and that they are sending the file to the processing visa office aboard. I thought cic had stopped giving out AOR and just jumped too approval emails or letter.

theres so much confusion.. someone got an AOR of just receiving the application :S. I called CIC-M on Friday and they too said that we dont have any records of your application and can't confirm that we received it. I too am hoping that they got the package safe and sound, it a fkin PO Box address. I have had bad experiences in the past with CIC processes and i am hoping they got the application this time cuz it took me ages to build the whole file.

pls let me know if and when you see any updates on E-cas.
THanks all

Not even me brother can't see anything on ecas. They are not working on 17 and 18 April Applications right now but I called them today she said you can't see nothing on ecas until they open your file for the first and she also said it will take about 2 more week to get you your approval letter
