CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2012 -2013

All you wonderful people on this forum can you please tell me that when sponsoring your spouse from Pakistan do you have to submit "ORIGINAL" school certificates including degrees and diplomas? When do they return them to you? Thanks a million in advance.

yes submit all originals. you will get them all back at the end.

Dear All,

I applied for sponsorship of family in August got initial approval as well. Now I want to apply for Temporary Resident Visa/Visit Visa (Multiple Entries) for my wife and son. Currently i can prove that she has ties to back home as she is studying. but after completion of studies, I have no chance proving it. I want to apply now, If she may get visa can she come after 5 months when study will be complete? or she has to travel in certain period of time.

Final Question,

What is opinion about online application process?
is it good or has more refusal rate.

Do they give multiple entry TRV visa to spouse and child???
how much is the duration of that visa

Apply online, it is a new facility offered by CHC-ISB, it has fast process, beside u can also apply via Gerry's Visa Services, they are the official partner for canadian TRV application, this option has slow process, we get TRV after 130 days.
about traveling to canada, ur wife and son can travel any time during the mentioned time lines in the visa.
Duration of visa totally depends on CHC desire.

I applied around the same time, done remedical in Aug waiting for PPR inshallah soon. In no hurry my wife is with me. I am hearing from ppl and readin the forums that we should hear beack by December or early next yr. Keeping my fingers crossed.

did you guys submit your medical and police clearance altogether with your application? Or separately (until they asked for it) Because I submitted it all together and I know of people who did it separately. Anyways I haven't heard anything no request and my file was transferred in November 2012

no in the checklist they ask for medical and police certificate WITH THE application. so you did the right thing! did you apply for gcms notes? we almost have the same timeline!

My friend had her application completed in 14 months, and she did it separately hers was husband case as well (2011)

im applyng fr trv, i hv filled wo forms family info form, nd imm 5257.
can anyone tell me . do we hv to fill IMM5257 SCHEDULE 1 form? its says if you ans yes to above questns frm 3 to 6 , thn you hv to fill imm 5257 schedule 1 form,,,,,bt i read on forum if we dont submit ths form , ur application wud be return... confused plz help?

no I didn't apply yet, I was planning to do so in December, did you?

oh well it all depends on visa officer. i think when they ask for it together then lets not play around with the application and send in everything! with all the fees. it takes enough time already for them to look at our files initially ..why should we give them an excuse to close our file and put it back in the cabinet and look at it later when we can send in everything together?

ya its good to apply but it depends on your luck! the rejection rate is high unless you are lucky
