i dont know what you mean by when you say "generalizing society"...every society has certain characteristics and these characteristics are observed and written about.

i mean would i be generalizing society if i said pakistan is a "religious society?" i think most people would say no but i think the answer is debatable..we pretend to be religious from the outside only... :-[

You are again generalizing the whole society just because you have some bad experiences, My whole point is that in order to prove our point we tend to generalize the whole society and that is what I still differ with you, rest alone with the problem of English medium and Urdu medium, it is the responsibility of the government to regularize the educational system! you may have met a bunch of people who are ashamed of their culture and languages that doesn't mean you start assuming that every single person living in a society think the same, I have Pakistani friends, classmates, co-workers and I respect them and their values just the way the respect mine, I never said that it is a NON ISSUE, all I am saying that We should Not Generalize the whole society just because we had some bad experiences with part of society,

interesting anecdote but the difference in pakistan is that the english medium and urdu medium kids dont get to mingle, they dont get to hangout together, they study different syllabuses...they rarely interact in real life...there is a great divide between the haves and haves not...heck they could barely communicate in the same language!

this problem doesnt exist in canada...and please dont mention quebec...the difference there is they want everyone to learn french...rich and poor :-[

And even I now so many people who were so humble and modest when they were here in pak
But as they moved to Canada they became so much status conscious
That includes my elder sister as well

And when she was here she never care abt brands
She is even buy only branded clothes for her 3 months baby girl

So end of the story is pakis or Canadians Indians afghans Jews or Africans
U can easily find good and bad people in every society
So no one should be biased only for Pakistanis

dont worry..you will find very few people who brag about their salaries, their cars, their connections, their plots......people usually frown upon such individuals....

Its the Foreign workers who are abroad who are on strike and Canadian Government not going back to Parliament until October

They have Minimum service... so example 1 guy is working for 10 people doing the same job.

i am new in this forum my wife has applied for me in november 2012 she also received a letter that file is transfer to islamabad in february . Main problem is with my application is that i can't check the online status of application when i provide all the detail it gives me this message

I wonder how long is PPR after Re-medical...The doctor told my wife, they will send the results within 48 hours to Delhi via email.

I have not seen any change in Ecas, i have ordered the Gcms notes to see the comments of the VO...still waiting.
