almost a year after filing an application .. cic returened my original documents stating that they dont need original.. they have saved copies of this documents :/ this also means my file was in ottawa as my husband (sponsor) have recived my documents from ottawa :/

i dnt understand wat u mean?
do they send u back orignal u submitted at the time u applied ur file in mississauga ?
no one else ever receive their documents back
while the case is in process

Ur file is at least in process.....they were at least concerned for ur originals ...
I've heard also that they return alll the originals when they r near to finalize a case ..so I hope it would be something better for u soon IA...

Hi guys! My timeline is close to urs toctober application filed!I called them last week n they said they transferred my file to islamabad too. I think its a good sign cz atleast there is some motion. Do u guys think we shud apply gcms notes n see wat up? R u full wedding case or nikkah case? Mine is nikkah case.also do u think its a good option to apply for trv now or will it just complicate the case?
I was about to apply for trv last month but didn't.I'm waiting till after our rukhsati in October.

You and I have the exact same timeline, 17th Aug App date and 28th Sept transfer date. Is yours a husband's case?

Hello. My wife moved and I needed to send CIC Islamabad her new address. I tried sending it to them through email, but I got an automated rejection letter via email saying that they require a signature, so either send the request via fax or letter mail. I sent them a fax but they said that they do not confirm receipt of faxes. I tried calling them as well and they said that they are not concerned with these matters and told me to email CIC Islamabad. Like what the heck?

your files are in islamabad...they must be satisfied with your documents and that is why they returned.

i cant believe how cruel and mean hearted cic has become.

I see many forum members are getting excited that they transfered their file to chc-isb. This really doesn't mean that your that much closer. It really depends on your luck, biggest factor is your VO. if your file is transfered to isb and you get a mean VO. It would have been better if your file just sat in Ottawa. Secondly, there is no sense of order, if for example, you thing they are working in july 2012 cases then they will send remed to approx two or three cases. The rest they will forget about. Just like us i remember back in march they seemed like they were workin on feb cases and suddenly they skipped many us went to march/april. Few got remed and then skipped the rest. Just pray you dont get skipped and are the lucky two/three.

I got this letter from Canadian High Commission and they are asking for the form of E33020.. I am so confused cuz I have applied for my husband and on the forms it says grand parents, parents, dependet child and other relatives :s I have 30 days to submitted everything

I really hope to hear something from them before end of this year.

people are saying that CIC is working on july aug 2012 files i am aug 2012 applicant didnt hear any thing after approval,,,

i emailed CIC ottawa and they confirmed that my file is in ottawa but we didnt get any of our original documents back,,its better if they return coz i want to apply for jobs and they all ask for original educational documents

Does this mean that if the files like yours are still in Ottawa for the last 12 months, its still not been transfered to Islamabad, so may be the total 100% processing of some cases is really done by the Ottawa office.

Just note that even the new thing, -- E-medical-- came up in the email for now adays which was never heard before especially for the CHC ISBD cases. That means this E-medical also come from Ottawa office correspondence.

Then another new thing -- Return of original documents -- also came up which we never heard before. So these are all the new acts revealing that all is going well for all of us Insha Allah.

Especially the cases filed in 2012-13 fall in this category which are usually the full marriage and straight forward cases.
