Hey! I hope everyone is doing fine. My wife's father filed her tax returns for this year and they sent her a letter on October 8th regarding the spouse information. My name, the date we got married on etc. She didnt check her mail and got hold of it today so i was just wondering if it is serious and could it be effecting our case in any way?

Was this CRA (Canadian Revenue Agency.... the department that deals with taxes) that sent the request?.... or was it CIC?....

If its CRA then no.... it won't affect ur case in any way.... They prolly just want to update her info that she's married cuz she prolly showed that she was married on her tax return.... but CRA must not have a tax return from u yet since u can't file one since u haven't made ur landing yet.... She prolly should've waited until next year's tax return to show she was married....

This depression is mutual.... Early 2013 are also suffering as many have heard absolutely nothing after submitting add dox.... This is insane.....

CIC is completely heartless.... THis is completely inhumane to put law abiding citizens through this much turmoil.... this is ruining people's lives.... I know of countless people who's lives are now ruined cuz of this stupidity.... classic case of policy makers (MP's) being out of touch with the realities of their policies.... they continue to turn the other cheek.... the Q&A with chris alexander.... he completely ignored all questions about backlogs

My ecase chaned to "In process" June 24th. No activity since then. What does that mean?

I have been waiting since December 2010. It has been almost 4 years. My case was not refused or anything. It is still "in process".

80% of cases take 33 months to complete. I have been waiting for 47 months now. I guess I am just part of the 20%.
