Hello All, I submitted my wife's citizenship application on Feb 27 and it was received on Mar 2, 2018. Looking through the forums, it seems that they send AOR close to the 4 week mark. Is that the case?

Thank u so much for providing some clarity on the issue! I called the CIC help desk and they told me they couldn't help with any specific questions. They could only tell me where to find the application....lol

u can do it at airport... but when I left islamabad in Jan 2015 nobody asked for it nor did I see n e thing set up at airport for polio vaccines... so if they need it they will have something set up at the airport for u to do it

If ure Canadian... u would have to submit ur application in Canada and u would also have to explain that u plan on coming back to Canada once ur application is processed... I've heard things have improved since London started processing Pakistani applications... so don't b depressed by that 29...

Salaam everyone... haven't been on this forum for some time now.... I just wanted to know bout the latest processing times.... wut has everyone's experience been?..... has London processing Pakistani applications sped up the process?.... or is it still taking 20+ months for straightforward cases?

I think that's normal.... cuz New Delhi processes all medical requests for our region.... I remember when my wife did hers they put new delhi office on the medical form.... I guess they process it there n forward it on to London....

I remember there were a number of ppl that hadn't received their Original documents back even tho their spouses had landed in Canada..... Was there n e one successful in getting their Original documents returned to them??.... could ppl share their experiences for everybody's benefit?

U can have ur MP request CIC to send it again.... it'll b quicker that way..... Get them to do it right away.... n keep regular follow up with ur MP until u receive their request.... that's honestly the best thing u can do

I would consult with an experienced immigration lawyer....they usually have more experience with these kinds of things... Was ur current sponsorship application rejected? or it was sent to London?

Ya... ur supposed to have one unique UCI for ur entire lifetime but I've heard of cases where ppl didn't fill out the UCI number field in their application n were assigned new ones Now that my process is over my UCI number is no longer active n I can't log back into ECAS using my UCI... same...

Another important thing is ur Nikah nama... make sure u have the Urdu and English nikah nama n submit orginals of both... so u should've had everyone sign on multiple copies at the time of nikkah so u can keep one for urself n one to submit with ur application... some ppl have been having...

All this info is given in the online guide on CIC's website.... please read through and follow it step by step.... Medical exam is a requirement and must b submitted with the application!..... read the guide! Also print out all the forms n have ur husband fill out some of those forms right...
