Amazing, how they don't reply to what you ask and add whatever they feel like adding to email...

Finally received a reply from Ottawa Office.

Hello myname,
Following and attached is a letter that is identical to the one that was originally sent to you on May 9th, 2012. Your sponsorship was approved and the application is currently awaiting processing by the visa office in Islamabad. If you require any more information, please either contact the visa office directly using the information below, or feel free to contact the CIC call centre at 1-888-242-2100.

Thank you,
Officer PO

hmm? so where is my file right now? >:( yeh toh bataya nahi

I should probably forget about this whole immigration thing for a couple of months.

If file has truly been sent to ISB you will most likely get an AOR (tho it takes alot longer)....

I'm still waiting for an AOR from Islamabad as well for my husband's case but I highly doubt we will end up receiving it. But I've also seen that a lot of the files are being sent to Ottawa now even though it says Islamabad! Not sure whats up with these immigration policies now!

So let me get this straight....if my file was dealt with by the Ottawa-pilot program, odds are that the file will not go to Islamabad EVEN though the letter says it has? Personally, I have no issues with where it is, as long as I know that someone WILL look at it.

Does Age difference make any effect i am 32 and my wife is 21

your case wont be outright rejected due to this, however, they will look for STRONG evidence to show that your marriage is genuine, for example me and my wife are similar age range so if they look at my file's evidence on a scale to 10 at 6-7/10 than ur file will be looked at about 8-9/10 for not being a marriage of convenience...

so if you have solid proof that displays your marriage is genuine, no worries... if its doubtful or lack of information than expect an interview (chances increase)...

I was thinking to maybe just keep them Abedi for now and write a cover letter explaining the situation?

keep things simple... you are not the first one with such scenario... so that's ok...

Note:

To all my friends here who are desperately awaiting some sort of response from somewhere, relax, let things roll on their natural path, your files are on their proper paths, dont over react (i know its extremely difficult, and i have lost it a few times myself recently lolz) wait atleast a good 6-8 months since ur transfer date, at the 8th month mark the way things are going now a days, you still prob wont hear anything back, but at this point if u must go for gmcs notes (electronic copy not hard copy), you will see some progress on your file, any thing before that is no news and pure headaches... and find something else to occupy your time, the more time you spend here the more tensed and paranoid you will become, get to a stage or an event where you need help/advice regarding the next step, in between its Patience (and lots of it)... drop by to help others if you must, but not so to think there will be an update waiting for you...

thats all, peace to all of you, and inshallah all of us will be hearing our good news shortly... and now my focus is back onto the travel back home :)

Good advice =)

Very good advice. Find yourselves a hobby that will keep you busy. I found mine :D. Working out! It is the best way to keep yourself busy and at the end of it all I am so exhausted, I fall asleep instantly. It is tough, but I have to keep my mind off this immigration process in order to focus on school and work.
