They should, unfortunately they don't. Single mothers, health issues, depression, financial problems, even lives in danger. CIC/CHC don't increase speed, unless it's your time. Again destiny comes in play. For immigration Canada; rest of the world follow timelines, we (pakistani's) have to follow destiny.

Totally agree with you! The way CIC works is just insane! They are too unpredictable when it comes to Pakistanis applicants. I really hope they process all the files soon and put us all out of this misery!!!!

mimac's case is very complicated. she is a native american married to a pakistani. there is an age gap plus cultural differences in the relationship. the cic officers think its a marraige of conveniance. mimac has tried her best to prove its not. they dont believer her and that is why i think she is considering this move. i wish her luck and hope she is reunited with her husband asap.

Even after all that they have waited for so long already. Go to Pakistan, spend time and wait for CHC to get done with what ever they think needs to be done on their part. Easier said then done, but it will be all for nothing if they pull their file off the queue now.

File: Date:
Dear Applicant,
Your application has reached the final stage of processing. Since Pakistani law does not permit the mailing of Pakistani passports from Pakistan to other countries, we will not ask you to submit your passport to our office in London. The issuance of your permanent resident visa will be a two step process.
Step 1: Follow the instructions in this letter to submit the requested items to our office in London. Once we have reviewed them, we will send you instructions for the second step within 6 weeks.
Step 2: Do not submit your passport to our Islamabad office until you receive instructions to do so. The Islamabad office cannot issue your visa before we instruct them to do so. (If you submit your passport early, it will be returned to you without a visa.) The Islamabad office can only mail passports to addresses in Pakistan. If you will want your passports returned to an address outside of Pakistan, then this letter does not apply to you. Inform us immediately so that we can send you different instructions.

Step 1: Submit the documents listed below to our office in London. (These instructions do not apply to accompanying family members who are entitled to Canadian citizenship, because they will have to travel on their Canadian passports.)
1. Clear photocopies of your passport and the passports of each accompanying family member. The passports must meet the Passport Specifications on page 2 of this letter because these are the passports you will use to travel to Canada.
2. The Updated Information Chart on page 3 fully completed for you and each accompanying family member.
Submit these three items within 45 days of the date of this letter (or the date of the email if you received this by email). All items for you and your accompanying family members must be submitted together in one package.
Mail or courier your package to:
PHEP Processing
Immigration Division
Canadian High Commission
38 Grosvenor Street
London, W1K 4AA
United Kingdom
Sincerely,
High Commission of Canada

International Organization for Migration (IOM)

“As an immigrant to Canada, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) invites you to register, through the IOM Islamabad Office using the email coapk @ iom.int, for a free pre-departure orientation session offered in one of these locations: Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi.
Cultural Orientation Abroad (COA), a world-wide orientation project funded through Citizenship and Immigration Canada, is designed to teach immigrants about Canada before they leave their home country, so that when they arrive in Canada they are well prepared to meet the challenges they must face.”

What you should know
 You should not take any irrevocable action such as selling your property, quitting your job, or buying plane tickets until you have received your permanent resident visa(s).
 Your visa will be issued in Step 2 to match the information in your passport photocopy submitted in Step 1. This will be the name that appears on all of your documents after you become a permanent resident of Canada (e.g. driver's license, social insurance card, health card).
 If your family composition has changed (e.g. by marriage, divorce, birth, death), you must tell us now. You must also tell us if it changes before the date of your intended departure. Information in our systems must be up to date and considered before anyone can be granted permanent resident status on arrival.
 Your visas will expire one year after the date of your medical examinations. However, if your passport or any of your family members' passports are due to expire before this date, all visas will expire on the date that the first passport expires. You must enter Canada on or before the expiry date on your visas.
 The validity of a permanent resident visa cannot be extended, nor can a replacement visa be issued with a new expiry date. If you do not use your visa(s) before the expiry date, yet still wish to immigrate to Canada, you will have to begin the application process again, and pay new fees. The new application would be assessed according to the immigration legislation in force at the time of submission.

Passport Specifications
Your application will be delayed if any of the passports do not meet the following specifications. This delay will shorten the amount of time that you will have to travel to Canada to become a permanent resident.
1. Submit only copies of the passport pages showing the passport number, date of issue and expiry, your photo, name, date and place of birth, as well as any amendments to this information.
2. The photocopies must be from the passports you will use to travel to Canada. If you submit a different passport in Step 2 than the photocopy submitted in Step 1, then all passports will be returned and you will have to start again from Step 1.
3. Diplomatic, official, service or public affairs passports are not valid for immigration to Canada.
4. All names and dates of birth must be printed in each passport in English or French.
5. The given name (first name) of the passport-holder must be clearly printed on the Given Name line of the biodata page of each passport. The surname (last name) of the passport-holder must be clearly printed on the Surname line of the biodata page of each passport. They should match your Updated Information Chart.
6. Your spouse must have their own passport. Your accompanying children should also each have their own passports.
7. Each passport must have at least two empty pages.
8. For your visas to have maximum validity, all passports should be valid for at least 12 months from the date of your medical examinations.
9. All passports must be intact and not worn, torn or otherwise damaged; the laminate on the biodata page must be securely attached. Each page must be securely affixed to the passport; there cannot be any loose pages. Ordinary passports are the only type of passport into which a permanent resident visa may be inserted. Diplomatic, official, special or other similar types of passports are NOT acceptable.

What a waste of time and another way of holding cases for delay.

This is total insanity how come you process the application for two years without passport information.

If someone changed his passport and did not inform Islamabad/London then he should pay price not all applicants.

They should simply complete process and ask Islamabad to stamp visa on passport if passport info. match with
info. on visa. No question ask.

If information does not match then only that applicant should suffer. :'(

They is deep insanity and delay delay hold hold....

Since nobody will ask till 32 months..................................Total madness....deliberate delay tactics.

The reality is even after 32 months, no one will be able to do anything. That's the bitter truth. There are cases from 2011 who haven't heard anything yet and no one is able to answer to them.

Wow....seems like ppl r receiving some good news from London... At least the files r progressing.... I was reading in the other forum n a couple ppl have received emails from London... hopefully it isn't too much longer for everyone.... I hope n pray that all of those that haven't received similar letters already will get them soon.... especially the 2011 n 2012 cases.... INSHALLAH! ;D....

Looking through posts from past few days it's obvious many of us r losing our patience with CIC..... It's very important for all of us to continue to remain positive... I know its easier said than done but honestly beyond that there really isn't much we can do.... its out of our hands sadly....

I've also seen a lot of ppl comment on here that this is only happening to us cuz we're from Pakistan.... the reality is we r not the only ones suffering through this.... delays r pretty much across the board if u look at the processing times (Look at Singapore at 30 months).... I dunno y but us Pakistanis have a tendency to think the world is against us.... n we seem to love comparing ourselves to India.... lets stop this ppl!....

Continue staying positive inshallah!.... For those of us still waiting... May Allah give us sabar n patience to continue to fight through this agonizing wait.... n once its finally over inshallah... may Allah bless our relationships to be even stronger for having completed this long n difficult test....AMeen!

It upsets me as a member when people show up on this forum and hinder other members opinion or speech. This is a forum, where every member has the right to complain or share their happiness. We shouldn't fight over what one thinks. Of course, we don't agree on all grounds, but after 2 years of waiting sometimes emotions take over logic. Don't blame the player, blame the game. We are group, here to help and support its tough now, I understand speak out and hopefully you will feel better. Chc is screwing with our rights already, let's not let our freedom of speech go to waste either...

Don't stop the processing. Let them continue their processing.

You should move to Pakistan and be with your husband. When they see that you've moved to be with husband, they may decide to finalize your case.
Don't let them win, move there but keep the file. Send them fax every month to remind them of the time elapsed.

Many many congrats to the members who have received PR or if their files have shown progress

Regarding early processing of a 2013 case of a sister, I feel there cannot be just a totally blind/random draw for selecting cases for early processing. She listed some reasons and most important was probably the fact they filed papers after the birth of their child.

I may be wrong but I feel there is definitely a pre-screening of all files since Ottawa came into picture and ISB/London started working on cases earlier which might have been screened for such purpose by Ottawa based on some criteria (probably the cases which promptly ticks all the boxes without a shadow of doubt)

May Allah make this process easy on us

Did you mistakenly fill the IMM8 with Sponsor's address ?? If you have copies of forms, check those to see if you made mistake.

Easy to fix.

Fill up a new IMM8 with correct address, and send it in with letter explaining the error. (to the visa office where file currently is).
