I received my original documents back on 1st March 2014... From Ottawa

the mysteries of how CIC operates continue to deepen.... ur application is from Nov 2012.... that means ur file has been sitting in Ottawa for over a year and a half! .... this is just too ridiculous!

No bt they scanned and transferred the files to Islamabad 5 to 6 months down the road ..thts y on gcms notes u will see e-storage

According to Notes, my file was transferred to Islamabad in July, 2013

May be my original documents were sitting in Ottawa this whole time!!

And i got my nikkahnama and my degrees back not photos

Advise needed: My doc gave me a letter stating im pregnant and due in june and that he should be given visa as soon as possible so he can be with me for delivery and before delivery. i want to send this letter to isb but would it be a good idea? my husband has mutliple entry visa to canada but he cant come before gttn PR because he will have to go back again to pak for PR visa issuance. Wouldnt isb embassy say that he already has multiple visa so why doc send this letter?

when i got an update from MP last week she told me background checks are not finished yet and today when i called her to ask if that replied she got from isb or london office? she said its from isb and it says file is in queue for background checks. Does it means that background checks have not started yet??? gcms notes i applied in oct 2013 said background checks started aug 2013. i dont understand

@ Twinkle. As far as I know of background checks for Pakistani male CHC Islamabad do twice but for female applicant they only do once. Thats why they ask Pakistani 12 years old male and 15 years old female all information even though the adult age is 18 years !!!!!! CHC suspect Pakistani male even starting from 12th age.

I called cic Mississauga to asked when ISL transferred my file to London and the agent told me on feb 23. And he said it will take 11 months to process the file now.
