CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2011 -2012

Hello Guys,
As I have already mentioned that my file was transferred to Islamabad in December 2010. I didn't get anything from CHC yet but one of my friend got response from CHC and her file was transferred to Islamabad in June 2010. I don't know how she got first response that much late but finally she got first letter from them.

Yep currently they are working on files that were transfered in Sept/Oct 2010 so you still have a few months of wait to hear back from them.

I think the whole structure is out of control. In addition some staff will be on summer vacations. Lets hope starting from this week they will have full staff and things will turn back to normal. I feel really sorry for couples who got married in this summer and are ready to submitt the applications, 2 months with CPC-M and than at least 14 months with CHC-I hands plus minimum 2 months after wedding to prepare the documents so total 18 months are waisted out of newly married couple happy & golden moments. Does peoples in control care?

Yes you are right!! And then in the Pakistani & Indian context, you have relatives who just do not understand the process & 'think' the husbands do not want to call them there. A few months down the line, they are convinced that the guy is upto no good in Canada & doesnt want the wife to be there! And they always have these stories ready of people magically getting the visa in 2 months flat. Really its very tough dealing with our own fears & longings. I pray that Allah swt eases everybody's pain and grant all of you visas soon. Ameen!

I think your statement is self explanatory which shows that your friend's file was transferred 6 months before yours. That means you have to wait accordingly.

another working day has passed and still June 30.... if the starting of the process is that slow then we can imagine whats gonna happen with application ... u said 14 months at CHC isb .. but i checked, its 24 months.. but ya minimum might be 14 months

24 months is just an average number some take less time while others take more. Normally if the case is simple and straight forward, it takes anywhere from 13-17 months, and complicated cases can take up to 24 month or even longer.

Citizenship not for sale': Feds set up tip line for suspected fraud cases

OTTAWA - The federal government has set up a new tip line where people can report suspected cases of citizenship fraud.

Immigration Minister Jason Kenney is declaring that "Canadian citizenship is not for sale" and he's encouraging people to use the tip line to report suspected cases of citizenship fraud.

Kenney says his department will investigate the reports and take action when necessary.

Cases of false representation, fraud or other illegal activities surrounding the citizenship process can be reported to the tip line at 1-888-242-2100, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. ET, Monday-Friday.

Overseas cases can be reported to the nearest Canadian visa office or by email at citizenship-fraud-tips @ cic.gc.ca.

To date, immigration officials have identified about 2,000 people from over 100 countries who may have obtained Canadian citizenship fraudulently and they are taking steps to revoke the citizenship of the guilty.

My application trasferred to chc Ibd Oct 2010. There is no word from chc yet. But as soon as I hear anything I will post it on this forum.
This way you would have some idea that approximately how many more months would it take for the people who had applied afterwards.

That's perfectly normal for applicants of CHC-ISB. Nothing bizzare about it unfortunately

Thats correct this is normal at CHC-Islamabad. My wife received her first request after 13 months. The file just sits in their storage area for 10-12 months, and then its gets touched for initial review and by the time everything is expired so everything is requested again including all the forms(for updated information), Police Certificate and medicals.

I think this is how our files get to chc ibd and then they allocate those files. Watch the whole video so you would know how they handle our files. LOL.

I really exhausted for the long time process, about 3 years of waiting. it is only applicable for CHC islamabad. what a brutal torture. i don't know how I and my young wife with all biological demands survive for 3 years. it is really really difficult to tolarate.
