Dont Say this please.i pray new documents will be just for new immegrants Not for us....wes786 said:Assalam-o-Alaikum Brothers and Sisters,
Just to give you all a heads up, if you are planning to fill out Sponsorship application for your spouse, or have recently received request to resend IMM forms, print the updated forms(07/2011) or else you will get the old ones back and will be asked to refill the new ones.
Seems like they have updated all the forms in July 2011. I hope all of us in process don't have to refill them again

Mrkkhan I have the same timeline as yours and I have not heard anything from islamabad yet. I believe that it would be at least couple of months before we hear anything from these guys.Mrkkhan said:hi i am new to this fourm.my time line is

Normally the files open after 7-9 months for initial review, so it is a good idea to send them extra updated supporting documents so when they open your file for paper screening they know that there are enough proofs to say whether the relationship is genuine or not. So definately a good idea to send the documents including her tickets, boarding passes, passport stamps, updated call history, emails etc...Mrkkhan said:Thanks for the replys Iftikhar and danny...
Yes u r rite Iftikhar both if us have same time line...hopefully we will hear somthing good soon.
Just have a quick question...my wife visited me twice in last nine months...is it fine if i will send some of the pics or the proof of her arrivel.
i dont know what image will that bring to my case....or should i wait until they ask me for the RE-PCC and stuff....!!!
Dear Mrkkhan, Please remember that not only you should send the proof of your wife visited you including Copy of airline ticket, boarding pass & the copy of the stamp she received on her passport showing that she had travelled, plus send pictures if taken while you were together with your family and relatives so it would show that the marriage is legit. P.s. Always send them the proof of your email and or phone communication etc whatever applies in this case. May Allah help us all. Ameen.Mrkkhan said:Thanks for the replys Iftikhar and danny...

CPC -M started processing on June 8, 2011 and sent a letter on June 8, 2011
Application for permanent residence was received to CHC Islamabad on June 17, 2011.
I was happy to see such faster completion of one of the three steps of spousal immigration which are being mentioned in the immigrant guide and was thinking to get it soon.
Regarding timeline, I came to know through this forum that its been taking horrific long time to complete other 2 steps!!!
But why???
People are literally crying on this forum.
And I can well understand that without a spouse how one feels like
I wana wish everyone here a very good luck.
Lets hope for best guys.
Just the way Wes786 explained: I believe the same as being Pakistani is to be at a disadvantage.wes786 said:Why? because we are Pakistanis, and we have lost all our reputation that we have had in the past thats just one bitter truth. Which is why the timelines have gone from being 6 months to 23 months now. I applied for my wife in January 2010 and yet still waiting for her VISA, some people got theirs after 30 months some are still waiting even after 45 months. However, we have also seen processes get done in 12-13 months timeline, very random and unpredictable. So lets hope it all works out for you and the rest of us at the end.

Her file was received in April/2011, All I can do now is think of ways to speed up the process with updates. I have a few question I was hoping to get answered:
1) Can you have the medical resubmitted before they ask for one? - I figure there is a lag after they get the results. If I time it for say 10 months after my application arrived in ISB (Time they are opening files for review). This would mean may have it done in January 2012 or so.
No, You can't submit a Re-medical unless they request for it. Infact DMP won't do your Re-medical unless they see a request letter from the embassy. People who somehow got it done before the request letter was sent out had to redo them. The results for the Re-medical go to Dehli directly from your Docs office.
2) If they do ask for resubmissions for documents/medical they will mail the applicant in Pakistan, correct? just wanted to make sure
They will send these requests directly to the person being sponsored in Pakistan unless there is representative of that person (If you hired a lawyer and signed the use of representative form, in that case the requests will go to the representative)
3) Also I filed before the new forms came out - will they ask me to resubmit the new forms - I am asking because if this is true then I would do this now - in order to reduce lag time.
No, they won't ask you to resubmit new forms as the old forms could be used till March 31, 2012. They will ask you to fill out some forms when they open the file after 8-10 months of the file transfer. They will definitely ask you to fill out the supp forms and might ask you to fill out some new forms if you made any mistakes in the ones that you submit with the original application.
4) Also, is it worth talking to your MP, this early in process.
I don't think the MP would be able to do anything unless the case passes the original timeline which is 24 months right now.
5) Is there anything else I can do to reduce lag time. I figure I want to send updates for my application in October or so for gifts I bought her, emails and phone time logs.
It is always better to send proof of contact so they are staisfied that your relationship is genuine. I would suggest you to send it to them 6 months after your file transfer date, this way they would be attached to your file before its opened for initial review.
PS: If anyone voted Conservative, or did not vote against them is not my friend. Also if you know anyone filing applications make sure you advise them to get proper assistance. Part of the reason why its taking so long is the applications that are being sent in could have been done better. People trying to save $1,500 or just over one lakh ruppees. Sheesh and we are suffering.
Thanks for your response Danny4450. I just realized I have my lawyer as a representative for my sponsored wife. If they mail correspondences from Islamabad to Canada wont that add to the lag time. Is it better that I have mail go to my wife and then consult with lawyer.Danny4450 said:Welcome to the forum
