Just a quick question, i m a canadian resident and want to sponser my brother whos under 18 and who is not orphen, i mean ahumdulil ALLAH my parents are alive. so can i still sponser my brother.

any info. will be helpful.

You can sponsor:
•brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, or grandchildren who are orphaned, are under 18 and do not have a spouse or common-law partner,

You can sponsor one relative of any age or relationship, but only if you do not have one of these living relatives who could be sponsored as a member of the family class:
•spouse or common-law partner,
•conjugal partner,
•son or daughter,
•parent,
•grandparent,
•sibling, or
•uncle, aunt, nephew or niece, and

you do not have any relative who is a:
•Canadian citizen,
•permanent resident or
•registered Indian under the Indian Act.

Hope this answer your question :)

Another suggestion - you can make him come as a student, then work here and then become a PR

If in your passport request it was mentioned that please submit your passport at CHC Islamabad so your permanent Resident Visa can be issued then it must be normal. Still you need to contact Immigration LVO through email or fax about your concern. Hope that will work out.

PPR1 is they ask for photocopy of passport and then after 2 or 3 weeks they ask for your original passport to stamp visa.

Asalamalakum.

I received the rukhsati letter back in mid december. They gave me only 30 days to get rukhsati done and send them proof. They chose to ignore my emails when i asked for an extension. I did get this done, and sent them all proof on time. Stayed in pakistan for a month and just returned back lastnight. was hoping that the procedure wouldnt take long now. So i emailed mps office and they said got a reply from immigration saying my file has been sent for a procedural fairness review. I have no idea what that is. But does anyone know how long it typically takes from here? I really hope its not too long now. My mps office said that if i dont hear anything by 6 months i should contact her again. I dont wanna be waiting 6 months just for a reply. Is there any other place i can contact for information, help or assistance? I just want some answers...
