I got response from my MP and she said your file still waiting for review by the 2nd VO :o
ALAH Knows what's going on because this is the same line which I got back in Nov, 2011 and March, 2013.

I plan to order my 3rd GCMS notes on end of June 2013, because last AOR I got in June, 2012. May be again they open my file in June ;D

Your timeline is very similar to mine. What have received in first 2 GCMS?

I just hope that they don't increase the time above 29 months until we are done
with CIC. I also hope that my hubby gets his visa anytime before the end of October 2013.
By then, It would be 29 months since the file would have been transferred to Islamabad..

True. I don't know what they are doing. Some people from 2012 started hearing from them but us from 2011 still waiting. Not sure what's going on .....

As far as I am aware, the estimated time applies from the time you applied. So, 29 months applies to applicants who apply now. I think in June 2011 the timeline was < 24 months and since you are about to surpass that you should definitely involve your MP to look into the file.

Just my thoughts...

Can I get the link to order GCMS notes online plz

Requesting GCMS notes:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-atip.asp

- Easiest and quickest way is to go through the first link on there for "Online Request"
- All you need is that someone from Canada must do it - so you or your spouse, whoever is in Canada, as long as they have a Canadian mailing address, they should make the request.

Note: The IMM 5475 mentioned in the ScorpionKing's post will no longer be accepted. It says so on the website above.
All the information in the other form (IMM 5563 mentioned in the previous post) is entered online, and the payment is also done online as part of this process.

Steps:
1. Download the consent form IMM 5744 (you can find it from the link I posted above). This should be completed by the spouse in India, and the "designated individual" is the spouse in Canada who is requesting the GCMS notes. Check both the boxes in section 4 of the form, and sign it.
2. Initiate the "Online Request" at the top of the link I posted above. Proceed through the application and fill in the information as you go. You used to need to complete form IMM 5563, if you were requesting by mail or email, but with this online request, you don't need it anymore. All the same information is now filled in online.
3. Upload the consent form when it tells you go. If the spouse in Canada is not using a Canadian mailing address, you will also need to upload proof of Canadian residency.
4. It will ask for payment before you can make the final submission. You can use a credit card.
5. Now is the hard part - waiting for a few weeks!

I don't think that is correct. Timeline changes based on how many applications they have completed so far. Current timeline applies to all of us.

Mine ends Jan 2014 but I honestly don't want to wait thattt long.

Inshallah you'll be done soon
You will get valuable info in GCMS through which you
will be able to do something about this long wait

ISNHALLAH I really hope so. r u from Toronto?

I read on CIC website that the time which shows is the time of I think 80% or 85% cases which have been processed in
the last 6 months.. Therefore, It's the current processing time for all the cases.

MP doesn't help with sponsorship cases in Montreal..

What I found on my 1st gcms notes:

I got 1st GCMS note in December 12 which they indicate VO put our file in interview queue after the "Preliminary assessment" back in June 2012 the time they also issue us AOR and request of more proof if I have visit to Pakistan.
We send them more proof, Pictures as along my 2nd visit to Pakistan in response of their request.

Then In September 2012 VO open our file again after seeing new proofs he satisfied and believe our relationship is genuine and he tuck off our file from interview queue and forward our file for to the next VO for next course of action.

What I found in my 2nd Gcms Notes:

Then I order 2nd GCMS notes last Month in March 2013 makes me disappointed there is no activity on our file sense last September same as it.
Now Allah knows better what he hold for us.

Hmm and I have always lived in Toronto. But I was thinking may be I should move to a different place once my hubby is here. Life is costly here in Toronto.

Email them, I have noticed that everytime I email them even if they don't reply back. It's mentioned in GCMS.
I got GCMS last month too and the last time they touched our file was end of January 2013.

They never reply to my emails :S However, I still try to send them emails once a month lol

I personally love Quebec province. French is the only thing extra you need but it's so much fun
being able to speak French.

I know that the minimum wage in central and western Canada is a lot more than it is in Quebec & Ontario.
However, the living is expensive over there.
I personally love Eastern Canada better, ex: Prince Edward Island, but living close to family is important too
Living in 1000 Islands or Niagara Falls area is one of my dream once I become a teacher (: but I love teaching French kids too
OMG we have so manyyyy choices

When I study in Sherbrooke City, I admire the way most of the people are sleeping around 8pm. Shopping malls and most stores close early.
Small cities like this are great to start a family. Even if you work your working hours will end early most of the times.
Plus you get the chance to grow your kids in healthy environment. People are most of the time fun & smiling.
