I understand your frustration. I emailed about my application too, just this generic reply unfortunately.

I kind of want to go to 219 Laurier Avenue West Ottawa, that building on the 7th floor...I do go by downtown Ottawa everyday...see it...and try to send positive vibes. I've contemplated going in once but I know that is a baaaad idea :P

Let's all hope they do another round of approvals sometime soon :(

Keep the proof with you, don't make a mistake of sending it to them.

In your case, they are okay with your relationship and consider it genuine. So don't make a mistake of sending them proof, so they get an excuse to further evaluate your case and take more time for Visa issuance.

okk thank you :)

Salam All,
I waited 17 long months before I eventually gave in and decided to join this forum in order to get opinion/help/advice from experts and fellow applicants. A brief intro on my application. Spousal application filed in mid November,2011 and sponsorship application approved in mid January, 2012. Got the decision via email from CPC-M(in Jan, 2012) mentioning the UCI and application number starting with F. The letter via email also mentioned that the processing center was CHC-I and that all queries should be directed towards them. Meanwhile, I continued to check my application status online which shows decision made on sponsorship application status and application received on PR application status ever since (jan,2012). I have not gotten anything from them since Jan 2012 and I have not contacted them either. There is no acknowledgement on receipt of medical as well.
I have a few queries and wish someone could answer them. Is the AOR any different then sponsorship approval ? I know that some files have been transferred to Ottawa pilot project, could I be one of them ? Is there any method to confirm? What is the appropriate time before one should contact CHC-I to inquire about the application status? If anyone has any info or advice on how to proceed further, I would be thankful to them

AOR is different from sponsorship approval. However, for some odd reason they have cut off that method of communication also with applicants. (They like to keep us in the dark and confused).

A method to confirm the whereabouts of your file is via email. Preferably, emailing cpp-ottawa at; ottpilot-immigration @ cic.gc.ca.

I think you should go ahead and order notes to verify what exactly is going on in your file and what has been done. To order notes its the link below;

I am in the process of writing an email to CHC-I to make a query about my immigration file number and to ask about the status of my application. I have two emails and I am not sure which one to use. Can anyone advice please?
The two emails are

General query : islamabad - im - enquiry @international . gc . ca

For case specific query they have a web generated email system and the link is https: // dmp -portal .cic . gc . ca / cicemail / intro - eng . asp x ? mission = islamabad

Which one should I use ?

Also who should send the email to CHC-I, applicant or the sponsor ?
