have u received Acknowledgment of Receipt (AOR)?? islamabad gives a file no for each application.

u follow the same steps and when u come to Identification Type: u need to click "immigration file number" and add the file number given by CHC Islamabad...These numbers usually start will Bxxxxxxxx
and then add in ur Date of Birth and place of Birth and click "continue" to get permanent residence status (meaning your status)

Hey kman,

I received a letter. It explicitly stated that it was being transferred to Islamabad. However, per the GCMS notes, I discovered that in April 2012, the paper file had been transferred to Ottawa. I had the MP's office follow up with Ottawa and within a week after my request, they confirmed that the application was indeed in Ottawa and further correspondence should be done with them.

Don't know to what extent this is true, but he said Ottawa's timeline is ~18 months and I should expect to hear something 15 months from the date of transfer to Islamabad. Again, his words. I'm not counting on anything!

A question to determine if there is a pattern in files being transferred to OTT as opposed to ISB. Did you receive an email or letter stating your file transfer (Stage 2). If you got an email, can you please let us know where the email originated from, i.e. ott-pilot or cpc-m, and did it state your file is transferred to ISB or did it explicitly mention that your file is transferred to OTT.

I noticed weird little changes in late february and am curious if this is similar to what is happening for a lot of other people who got their status changed.

The Sponsorship Application Status: It went from Decision Made to "In Process". And it has an additional line stating that "we started processing your application on 2X April 2012. This is coincidentally the same date on which my paper file was sent to Ottawa. (per GCMS notes)

Permanent Residence Application Status: No change

Name of my spouse is now written in All Caps.

I applied end of Nov - Recieved correspondence in late Jan. That's about all so far.

and can any one plz tell exactly when they started to transfer file to ottawa ,?/////// i hav seen october 2011 cases stated to complete(which i think were the simple cases ).... but there file has not been transferred to ottwa

No nobody got the reply from ottawa... Actually late Nov 2011 files n dec files went to Ottawa

Thanks for the info. I'll be ordering GCMS notes in a few weeks. That should probably clarify the file location.

No one late oct case I knw of, just got completed I mean the sponsored wife is nw in Canada... She just went there a few days back ... Fingers crossed maybe our letter is on its way cuz isl also takes 14 months min to send u the first letter before that they never approach the applicant I m hopeful and positive cuz I think only Allah can do something for us noone else can help us in any way!!

Hahaha cuz I hate the reply MPs give us :/ anyways I m expecting a reply in march although my file was transferred in Jan 2012 as well So you should also expect it in march only
