today i check my ecase, change into "IN PROCESS" saying for start processing on 27-Feb-2013.

Congrats!! mine has changed since the 19th of Feb but no ppr yet afew members had their status update around Feb 14 or earlier and no response. I hope they start doing something abt it soon I-A

I heard Oct 2011 cases finalized n spouses r reunited... Why r some cases before that still pending and waiting for decision to be made? Y is immigration ppl so unfair?

My wife got her Passport request dec 14, 2012, passport reached embassy dec 27, today is march 4, we have not heard anything or got the passport back..
should we be worried?

when was her last medical done, since that will determine if you need to be concerned or not

they will do their best to get it to you before med expires insha Allah...otherwise u gotta do remed...you cannot travel without valid medical.

they might even call and ask if she can travel before med expires..if not they'll isssue remed then send pp back.

May be they did not have your medical received and now they only recevied it two weeks ago, which would be a bit odd to see that it took so long to update them but lately CHC-ISB has been having problems with medical updates from New Dehli

this is the sequence of events

Medical is received
file put in a que for final immigration review

Approved and sent to Visa section for visa pasting and courrier.


They may call your wife to ask her to provide her travelling plans before medical expiry, please make sure that she keeps her phone on her all the time

thank you people... yes my wife was actually on visitor visa here with me in canada for 1.5 years, she just left after we got the ppr and now its been more than 2 months, hence waiting...

the timeline for getting passport back after the request has changed i believe. for my wife, it took almost 5 months before we got it back, and reading on the posts on this forum from december onwards, it seems that its no longer days but months to get it back after it being requested and sent to the embassy.

don't worry, insha allah you will have it soon.

Hello Dr waqas. I'm in the process of applying visit visa for my wife. Can u please guide me a little as to wat was Ur reason of inviting her? Is sister-in-laws wedding a good enough excuse? And hoe did u write the invitation letter?how long ?plz guide me!I'd be grateful
