Hi everyone,

I got to see my MP today again. He told me that every year Canada lets 200,000 people in the country and 60% of that are skilled workers, 40% family class. He also said that they choose a certain amount of applicants from every country and those countries that are very busy get to stay behind.

I am not sure if you guys know this already or some of you like me may not know it. So he told me that for those applicants who did their re-medical, they should not worry about the interview cause re-medical is the 3rd stage and when you reach to the 3rd stage your almost there.

He said that a lot of Muslim applicants go to him daily and complain about their spouses that is one of the reasons why CIC is taking it very serious

He also said for those applicants who haven't heard anything after the first stage and it's taking more than the usual time, it's because CIC is not sure whether their marriage is genuine or not and in order to avoid any doubt it's better for the sponsor to visit the applicant within this time.

Basically my MP didn't help me at all. Every time I go to him he brings up something stupid to say which upsets me

when I see seniors members on this forum waiting for ppr after re-medical, it frustrates me more and more

I know i kinda had a debate with him, I said i know that some of us go through lots of challenges when we sponsor our spouses from backhome but u can't say that to all muslims in general then he started b****ing around saying " Oohhh no nono im not talking abt muslims in general" I am like o well u shudnt cause most muslim marriages are successful u just dont see that.. But yes ofc Allah (swt) is merciful, it's just a hard period of time which we all go through but all we can depend on is Almighty!

Sorry Lekin I think your MP is just passing the Buck like most politicians’.

Also your Map’s story is bit far fetched; I didn’t find anything, in journals, newspapers
CIC site, about quota, Muslim countries, 20000 people. ???!!


I called MY MP today to follow up on my file which is with the Decision making Officer since Oct sometime. He said I am sending another Inq. and will forward the response from ISB.

I wouldn't advise you to go to him again. I can't believe he had the audacity to put it on ''Muslims''. Nevertheless, you shouldn't worry too much. You have already had your Re-medical done, which is a good sign. Your file is probably undergoing background checks. And hopefully, it won't take long Insha Allah!

Besides, your mp's comments reflect the conservative philosophy. They are always looking for excuses to slow down the immigration or make its rules tougher.

lol I wish i could. I really hate it, when they point out to our religion, a muslim father kills his daughter they name it honor killing and when a none muslim kills 3 innocent kids they have mental problems they are excused. Ridiculous!!

Well I feel stupid for going to him and Yea it's disappointing, you are right i shouldn't have gone as Khan said we have one best power (Allah, swt) and no man can have that power. His comment about muslims just upset me but I couldn't argue more than what I mentioned above.. I will difinately listen to you guys. Trust me he is on drugs.
