it's time to get help from your mp or any sensible and helpful mp if yours isn't. Write a cover letter. Attach the response you got from Medical office and have it sent to chc. It should work.

But wont CHC take like 3 months to respond? this is so ridiculous. I don't mind her doing the remed but they won't even let her. So now we're stuck. I wish Allah would just intervene and replace my case officer. my case officer cannot read or comprehend English.

I think u should get medical office opinion via email and write a comprehensively elaborated letter to CHC-I explaining the details by attaching the medical office email as evidence and ask them the way out. Surely they will give u some solution .

I just hope it doesn't take 3 months. But yes we did get a email response from the medical office to check with the dimwit case officer to reconfirm remed...I guess I will email them...what other choice do I have? none. What a sickening process this is.

u should try both option i.e email as well as letter .bcz normally email takes atleast one month to get response however letter will be processed more quickly as far as response is concerned.
Most importantly d'nt forget to mark ur letter "Most Urgent".

We contacted our MP about 2 months ago but haven't received a reply yet. Is it polite to ask them for updates, or can they be trusted to get back to us when they have info?

Hasnt gotten back to you in 2 months? At this point politeness on your end should go out the door. It is part of his/her job to do this for you.
Ask him for a date when you can call him back, put a little pressure.
You need to push him to get an update for you.

Good luck for your protest on streets. I've been on this forum from 3 years and trust me this thing started several times and even I started to raise some voice but nothing happened. in 2011 several people tried very hard to do something but one by one they got the visas and they left.
I can bet on this FB and future protests also they will never work. so Good Luck
