Hello Everyone !

I am about to embark on my journey to bring my Pakistani wife to Canada too

From the forum, it appears to be a long and frustrating process
I got engaged 2 months ago in Pakistan and plan to get married (nikah + maybe rukshati) this coming summer.

I had some questions if any of you would be nice enough to comment or provide your experience :

1. Is it possible to get my (soon to be) wife to apply for a visit visa or a study permit visa(before we get married), at least so she can come and stay with me after we get married ? Of course she would be doing this before we get married. Then I can also file her application for PR with me as the sponsor.

2. What are the odds of her getting a visit visa or a study permit after we file her PR application ? Has anyone tried this route ?

omg omg omg omg omg I'm really happy everyone today it was 7am my morning Canada time and my husband called me and told me that someone from embassy called and asked for his passport request and also since my husband lives in Afghanistan they said that it will take long time if we send letter it's better if u send us ur passport with valid Pakistani address and 4 passport size pics omg omg my time will be over soon hopefully soon my husband will get visa

Also my status changed to in process and it says that we started processing ur application on December 21, 2012

By the Grace of the Almighty and most Merciful Allah, I got a call from CHC asking me to send in my passport along with two pictures and a covering letter urgently. The guy insisted that I send that in today so that they stamp my visa right after they receive the required documents.

I'm yet to get the PHEP and PPR. But the person told me not to be bothered about that, as they've got all the details like eye color and height already filled in my application. all they need is my passport.

Alhamdolillah! I just can't wait for my hubby to wake up so that i can share this news with him.

I wish all the rest of you also get the VISA soon, Inshallah.

And hey! Congrats Sheikh88 and Canadian immigrant! Have a blessed life ahead.

Salam All,

So my husband received a PPR on Dec 14 and sent his passport on Dec 17. Yesterday our status on CIC changed from In Process to Decision Made and it also says that "A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision."

Anybody got this one yet? We are not really sure what is this suppose to mean??
