Latest from my side

And so it turns out that my sweet hubby showed our GCMS notes to a lawyer. And then we got our shock of the life time! According to the GCMS notes, CHC MISPLACED our file!

We are yet to chalk out our strategy with the help of lawyer. Do pray for us that this pain is over for us sooner, as Canadian Immigration has become a stinking sore in our lives, and we simply can't wait for this nightmare to be over.

Any suggestions regarding our latest fix are welcome.

And of course, i suggest that each one of the 2010 and early 2011 cases order their GCMS notes, and get them checked by a lawyer because there are some things that we might not be able to recognize as CHC Malfunction

and again, prayers and prayers we need!

Goppy sis did you get your interview letter yet?

If not then I suggest that you send your GCMS notes to your lawyer who would be in a better position to analyse your notes. (Ref. my previous post)

Salam All,

Anyone here got a passport request recently i.e. in Oct or Nov? And did you get the passport back yet?
My husband just got a passport request last week on Dec 12 and we are wondering how long its going these days to get the passport back from the embassy?
I know someone who got their passport back after 4 months :(
We have waited enough!!!

Please suggest...
Thanks

Congrats on the PPR. 4 months is a laugh.. I myself have been waiting for more than 4 months.. there are others with 6 MONTHS!!

But there've also been cases of 2 weeks. Since your case has been smooth uptil now, Inshallah it'll be quick for you.

I got polc clearnce reports in july 2012 again to be submitted as requstsd by chc...olice reporta r valid for 6 months....so my ppcz r gettng expired in jan .....if i dont get ppr before that, wod chc be askng me to submit the again when sending ppr?....am worried about it coz i hav lived in saudia aftr turning 18....n gettng ppc frm there in a hectic thng...n other than that my parentz ni longer reside there...

Secondly....i have 3 visitz out side pk in last 5 yrs... is it going to delay my back grond/security chks???
Thanking everyone in advance

Your timeline is actually very similar to mine. The only difference seems to be the part where I got the call from CHC in August to ask if I could land before my med expired. When did your first medical expire?

Even though I hope your's is a swift process.. but I'm beginning to feel that international background checks really do take very long. My passport has been gone for 4 months and there are others who've been waiting for as long as 6 months without any news.. and my theory is that these are cases where the applicant has done extensive travel. And they keep that passport for that long in order to BLOCK the person from travelling anymore so he/she doesn't build any more international history for them to further check. That's my theory atleast.

So people waiting for 2+ months after PPR, can you please share whether there has been any travel on your part ??

Sorry to interrupt, but can they even keep the passport for that long? Considering its a travelling document.. any emergency could come up God forbid.

He has mentionned it in the forms when we applied for his sponsorship. CIC hasn't asked about it yet. This is the only trip he made out of Pakistan.
