I really hope they return it with the visa Inshallah, but wasn't there a rule that no embassy stamps any sort of visa on a passport that has less than 6 months validity left?

Yes when they require ur passport for visa it should be valid for atleast 6 months so when u sent it was good but now keep it for that long so its not ur fault so i hope they wil realize it inshaAllah

Application filled: Dec 2010
File reached ISB: Jan 2011
Re-Pcc and supplementary forms: Feb 2012
Re-medical: Mar 2012
Passport request: 19 Oct 2012
Sent Passport on 22 Oct 2012
Received Passport back today

. I don't think they realize anything I dun think my hubby is getting visa anytime soon if it has to be valid for atleast six months then they will send pp back. Is there anyone else who send there pp and its abt to expire soon ?

On one of the forms they have made my wife complete IMM8 there is one question that states do you have a national identity card? My wife is Afghani but has lived in Pakistan most of her life. And I believe she has a Shnakhte Card(Identity Card) that they issue to Afghans. Is that what they are asking about. And also another question it says current country of residence and I put Pakistan. Then another section says status do I put Foreign National or Refugee Claimaint?

Dear Masood bro, ur case is same like mine....I also got letter for asking Imm8 and other forms 6 months before...yeah Her afghan card is identity card and in status u need to write permenent residence bcz if u see the back side of afghan card so it wrote Registration of Afghan Citizen in pakistan..which means we are citizen..i was confused too but when i asked from my lawyer. he also said u need to mention permenent residence. then i went to the place who are filling the papers and who know better about these staff. he also told me to mention permenent residence...

Hey BBENALI.. first of all many congratz.. can you please tell until when have they given you the deadline to land in canada? i mean what is the expiration date on the visa issued.

Alhamdulillah Today my ECAS changed to "InProcess". They started Processing my application in this month however according to GCMS they opened my file in August for the first time. How much more time for PPR? I did my re-medical on 3rd Dec.
