thanks for the info guys, I guess its not worth the trip then...ill just wait for the GCMS notes first and then ask MP if necessary.

A friend of mine suggested to me to get my wife to go to CHC-Islamabad to ask about the status of her application...is this even possible? or is there a location where she can go to ask for an update? the online still shows application received and I have not yet received GCMS notes...I just thought if this can help get more information then that would be great.

Don't bother, unless you want to be completely discouraged. You will not face a Canadian its all locals with standard scripts. I went with my wife and brought my two brothers for support. Myself and my brothers are Canadian born and raised, we tried every tactic but ultimately we got the standard bullshit "you can email, fax, or mail a request". I even tried to email a request for an appointment and they responded that no one at the high commission is authorized to speak to the public directly. It's was an eye opener, we were always taught that as a Canadian no matter where we go we can always rely on our foreign service. Maybe everywhere else but Pakistan.....

Today my wife got call from CHC-ISB , asking for marriage certificate from Union councile in next 30 days. Did anybody got this kind of document request. Please share.

I did, but not over the phone, they asked for it in the AOR they sent us. We couldn't find our stupid Union Council so we ended up getting one from NADRA and also sent a 2nd original copy with stamp & ticket from Foreign Affairs office as per someone's suggestion on here.

Actualy in our Nikah nama, there is union council stamp but they did not put date on it.
Anyw normally how long they take to issue certificate from union council. my wife already applied, but these days they are lazy b/c of Eid holidays.

Mine also had the union council stamp without date. Not sure how long it takes from union council, maybe someone else can answer that. From Nadra I think it was same day.
