I just wanted to know that when you do an outland application and apply for TRV with it
then what are the chances of getting a TRV for ur wife. What do I have to do to ensure that
she gets. Kindly elaborate!!!!

there is a new law coming soon its not here yet
according to that law everyone applying for canadian immigration under the spouse law will get temporary resident visa for first 2 years before they get there pr

i cant say much about it because the law has not yet been drafted

historically it has been seen that any new does not effect the application filed before the law comes in place

Dear,

The orignal file number start from F and when they issue and letter to your so in the top of the letter they will mention a specific letter number which start from B and after that you will get your re-medical soon.

i get the same letter from CHC in which they given no starts from F , and paper file no starts from B and new UCI.(with this letter i submmitted re pcc and other proofs)
first letter my husband got from mississuga(in which they given UCI and F application no).
now when any idea when they contact me, my first med will expire in start of dec.

depends on case by case. My sister's husband's med expired back in may (according to GCMS notes) and her husband has yet to get remed request. My wife on the other hand (with similar timeframe) got remed already. Once my wife got AOR, in a months time we got remed request.

Sis we are in same boat and my medical also will expired in 5th December 2012 and we also received only one letter from CIC-M about applcation approval & file transfer to ISB nothing Else

when U app filed & when its been transfered to ISB?

sooo....can someone tell me what the 1's in the GCMS notes mean? my sister got her GCMS notes and beside things like Criminal, Security, Eligibility Assessment it has a 1. But under Assessment it says not started for all of them...weird

1 month and 15 days later since Re-med and passport sent on June 28, 2012

Medical result updated on August 5, 2012 (33 days) then 10 days later got updated decision made

Fayzaan - what's your sister's timeline?

Eligibility: is when they do the intial assessment on your file (they see if with the pictures/proof provided the relationship seems genuine and assess other details). Once it's complete, the eligibility is updated to passed. This is the same time your file offically goes "in process" on e-case as well.

Security: I think this is done once re-medical is completed. However, I have also heard it depends on the Visa officer. Everyone has thier own style of working some will do it earlier others will do it later. But typically it is done once re-medical is completed. For husband cases, apparently it is done twice

Criminality: I think it is based on the police certs you provide n then they probably do other tests also - not too sure about the timming.

Relating all this to my case, I recently got GCMS notes, my eligibility was completed on Feb. 29th (same day it said in process on my ecase). Security screening is being done so before security would say not started now it's blank. Medical is passed. Criminality is not started.

her timeline is:

First AOR: Aug 4, 2011 - transfer to Islamabad.
2nd AOR: April 4, 2012 - additional docs requested

that's about it...they haven't sent remed request or anything. Some of the docs were incomplete and they asked for husband's Police Cert from Dubai because hes been working there in the past...so she sent all that recently.

It does show due date August 4 for Criminality

i got two letters one from CIC missisuga(in which they write that my husband is eligble to sponsor me)..and after this i received one letter from CHC islamabad (which is AOR and additional documents request and they mention that they start worKing on my file).today 1 month complete and i haven't get any response after submitted new re pcc and additinal proofs.
did u get any letter from CHC islamabad? and whats ur timeline can u plz tell me?
and my med will expire on 7 dec.

hey brother i am also in same stage as you. i am an afghan and i live in Mazar e sharif city of Afghanistan. i also got remedical and updated police certificate request from the visa office on july 7, 2012. and i did all within end of july. my medical arrived in new dehli india on august 4, 2012 and i am still waiting for passport request. if you or any other member has any idea that what will be the next step and approximately when or after how long? please keep updating your status.
