Yes client ID is for sponsor in canada and Immigration file number is for the applicant in Pakistan. They pretty much show similar info but if you are sending documents to paksitan or if you are sending emails to them for status inquiries; you would need to quote the file number on your cover letter and/or email.

Can someone please help me in regards to getting my file no. My file has been transferred to Islamabad in July. Also, what is their email address?

Hi,

Welcome to the forum.

Currently they are working on Oct 2010 file transfers (to Islamabad). We are anticipating them to work on NOV-DEC 2010 and JAN 2011 files in January 2012 (next month). If your file was transferred in Feb 2011, then you should wait till Feb/Mar 2012 to hear something from them. You can take lots of pictures with your husband and his family, keep your boarding pass and all the proof of your visit. Once you return back to Canada, get your husband to send the proof of your visit along with the pictures and your passports entry and exit stamp (you will have to scan and send it to him). It takes them a month to open mail and attach it to the file so do it as soon as you are back or if you are not back till January then send it there along with a copy of your return ticket to Canada.

honestly, i was hoping he would be able to go back with me....but i think that is asking for too much at once!!

hiii every body today i got my file number in reply of my e-mail to chc in which they inform me that Your application is currently in process and is in queue for initial review so keeep sleeeppppppppppppppingggggggg Wink i apply in 7 oct 2010....

and now i check my e-case using my file number and in my mailing address the house and lane are not written as for e.g house no 2,lane no 5....on my mailing address its only 2 5 written, is it problem????and what should i do to correct it?

you need to send an e-mail to CHC with your file number date of birth name etc, and give them your complete address then they will update in your file and n your e-cas ok

no you cant change from there, theres only for the person who lives in canada, if you gave your sponser's address in Canada then you would be able to change it but this one you cant, jst email chc
