hello.....
can any one help me ..... my application received on 7th march 2012..... the status shown on the site ........ but on june 26 my wife recieved the leter that u can not sponser ur spouse bcause u recived social assistance ...... my wife recently completed her graducation and applying for a job hope that she wil get it soon ....... her parents was recieving social assistance but now they r working ful time and she is living with them .......... can any one help me out what we can do know .... thanx regards

It is very Clear that Non Can apply if getting any Welfare or Social Assistance. She could apply even without a job as their is not any requirement of minimum income in this regard. But as she is refused once on the grounds of taking Welfare, so should start any job , Stop receiving any social Assistance. and could apply by attaching the Employment letter (if provided) , Pay Role of first month and an explanation letter stating that she is no more willing to take any social assistance.

Dear Ghussain,
i think it will takes maximum two months and minimum 15 days that u will received ur visa.

Danny any one you know who is waiting for such long. I have already passed 37 days and still no clue of Decision Made..... :-X

I know someone waiting for 90+ days now. It all depends on the immigration officer and the review date. Once they ask for Re-med and Passport, then usually there are 99% chances of getting Visa. The 1% would be any medical issues or any concerns based on background check with the applicant.

AD119, you should order the GCMS notes, then you can find out what they have to say about your case. Right guys??

No, he doesn't need to order GCMS anymore. When someone gets a Re-med + PPR/ or Just PPR, it means that the immigration officer is convinced that the relationship is genuine and enough proof is provided for relationship/Wedding.

Oh ok, but regarding that 1% of concern about medical etc. wouldn't that be in the notes that we can't issue PPR yet because of so and so reason?

No.. You won't see any details of the medical in the GCMS report. Just if it was passed or further tests required etc etc. Usually they will send a letter if any further tests are required.

Hi Jay,

If it is remedical and PPR together, you have 30 days to submit everything together as mentioned on the letter. If they don't get the medical and Passport in 30 days, they review the file again after 60 days. They further wait for 30 more days and then if they still didn't get your Re-med and Passport after 90 days in total, then they call you and ask you why you havn't done the medical and sent in passport yet.

Thanks for the info -- My wifes only got the PPR and they asked to submit the passport within 15 days -- I believe its different when you have PPR with Re-MEd?
