I think something is going on here. I see at least 12-13 people who got a medical and passport request late last week. I was one of them, my wife had her interview waived, no police verification, just a remedical and passport request.

This means for some reason, a large batch of applications were being held, and suddenly released.

Another thing I notice is that earlier, people would get a remedical request, send in the medical results, and after 1-2 months, would get a passport request, where as now, the trend is to send in both documents together.

In any case, seems like there is some traction now.

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted some opinions...my wife has her remed today and will be sending in the Passport tomorrow to CHC-I...considering the overall speed from my timeline, what's the chance of having it back by mid-late August?

I'm visiting my wife soon, that was pre-planned and I didn't even dream of PPR already, what do the seniors think of adding a letter that explains that I'm coming anyways on vacation and it would be ideal from every standpoint that I can take her back to Canada this time? Wouldn't hurt right? To explain circumstance and ask for some consideration?

Hello everyone,

I am going to pakistan in november 2012 INSHALLAL to get married, I wanted to know what document I should get from there to sponser my wife. Can somebody give me a detail of all the documents , forms and supporting documents that I should submit. and what is the procedure to sponser the spouse. I found out that the processing time is 26 months, GOD thats a long time, is it taking that long or it might take less time too.

I would really appreciate some answers, suggestions from the senior members.

Actually the process has sped up. When I was applying it was going to take 21 months or something and then kept rising from there...but Alhumdulillah, we have noticed that a lot of people are getting it completed in 15 months or so.

Its a good idea to get all the paper work and stuff organized before you leave Pakistan so that you can take care of it in a few days time. It can be difficult to motivate and get your wife and relatives to run around for this kind of stuff...and I would know.

Read it and check out the menu bar on the right - Things like Who can apply, How to Apply etc. are all there to guide you. This way you get the latest info, accurate info, latest forms, etc.

You will definitely need to get her ID, Passport, Original Nika Nama, lots of pictures of wedding and after wedding (showing both sides family being present, various relatives, nika,ruksati,mehndi whatever you can get, outing pictures etc.), financial support, communication (phone bills, emails etc.), her birth certificate/b form, etc.

I paid the full fee in advance when I first filed. This is something someone suggested I do. My wife got her remedical and passport request in the same letter. I sent some additional photos, skype chat etc in May, so this time, they didnt ask for additional information.

My nikah nama was in English. I did not get any of the documents translated by a notary public, just translated them myself.

The family pictures were quite extensive, with 10-20 members of my family in each picture, and different people in each picture. I was photographed with 100+ people in my family.

I also gave details of who each person is, and how they are related to me.

Not sure if any of these strategies worked, but it looks good.

Do I need to get nikka nama translated n attested(where in pakistan u do that).

And do I need to get any other from my wife other than her ID and Passport like her educational docs, n originals or just photo copies.

I would suggest you use an english nikah nama, which is legal in Pakistan. This way, no translation required.

Dont Worry Man ! Decision Made is regarding your Eligibility to Sponsor ( First Step when you Applied at Mississauga). Did you received any AOR from CPC Mississauga? And on which date your file was moved to Islamabad?

yes bro. just the letter they told your caese is islm visa office and i got the fill nr from missga. just that and nothing from chc islm?
