CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2011 -2012

wes bhai i am going to send them some documents and relations proofs also my wife last 2 visit details...do u think i should apply for the file number first....actually my lawyer is going to send them i havent ask him about the file number yet...
can u explain me how to apply for a file number...and also is this is the rite time to also apply for CAIPS...u can tell,i am just worried as its been 11 months since my file transfered to Isb chc....havent heared anything yet...

Thats normal! It is currently taking anywhere from 9-12 months for initial reviews lately. You just email the embassy asking for the file number just make sure to include, applicant's and sponsor's Full Names, Date of Births, Client ID, addressess and contact numbers and hope you receive your file number soon via email. Its better to quote the immigration file numbers on the documents you are sending as it makes it easier for them to attach documents to the appropriate file and less confusing for them. CAIPS are useless as of now, you won't see anything until they do your initial review so wait for the first request and then apply for CAIPS that way you would know what they think of your marriage.

CHC-ISB received my case April 2011, so its been 5 months. I got my file number through email, so should I send them voluntary proofs now or is it too early? I've visited pakistan in june and i have lots of pics and proof.

Keep collecting it still and send it to them after about 7-8 mOnths in...May be in November; that would probably be the perfect time.

Got the file number by email: August 09, 2011

currently applicants from Sept/Oct2010 are receiving rePCC and IMM forms and a few 2009 applicants are still waiting...

Well lets stay positive and say that they might reduce the timeline from being 24months to 12 months InshAllah. My wife's case took 19 months and I know how terrible that wait was, so I sincerily hope all the new applicants don't have to wait that long.

Do remember people in your prayers who are still waiting for longer. I know a member who is waiting since 2007, there is one member waiting since 2008, a few from 2009 and quite a few from early 2010 as well. My wife was a Mar2010 AOR and she just received her VISA end of August I am glad it ended for us and hope you all get through this soon as well.
