I was wondering..how your wife got visitor visa. Since I heard visitor visa is too hard to get from Pakistan, if you applied for her Immigration process...please share your with us for visitor visa process..

Humsafaar, it is no more difficult to get visitor visa for the sponsored spouse. I have heard of many cases. Our application was not unusual. My wife did not have a travel history. She has a long stable job but no property. We attached invitation letter, job letter, tax returns, income statement from my side and bank statement, job letter, marriage certifiacate from wife side.

Yes, send all the previous proof and recent pics to CHC-I

Your wife needs to go back to Pakistan as she is June file transfer and she might get PPR soon. And they do not send back passport to any address outside Pakistan. It clearly states that on the PPR form.

To answer your question, yes you could get the mailing address changed to a Canadian mailing address. You need to send them a request in writing with signature of your spouse.

Remember, this is an outland sponsorship and your wife is on visitor visa. When she gets PPR, she needs to go back to Pakistan and then come back to Canada once visa is stamped.

If address in changed by CHC-I and there is confirmation. The Re-Med documents will arrive at the Canadian Address and re-med can be done here. The medical results will be updated on the CIC system and CHC-I can look it up from their end.

My recommendation, don't change the address. Book a return flight for your wife as soon as there is some correspondence from CHC-I and she can come back once PR visa is stamped.

Yes, If you would like then you can change the contact number. Your wife needs to sign a letter for change in phone number and fax it or mail it to them.

You need the original Medical A form to get Re-Med done. This form will only arrive at your wife's address in Pakistan. However, any DMP in the world can do Re-Med if you have the original Medical A form issued by CIC. Someone from Pakistan can FedEx or DHL that form to you and in the meantime you can book an appt with a DMP here. Re-med will be done and sent to Ottawa. It will be updated on the CIC system. Then CHC-I can look up the medical reports themselves from their end with the file number.

Remember, sometimes Re-med + PPR come together and in this case your wife needs to go back. Not too long, maybe just for a couple of months. A final goodbye to relatives in Pakistan.

TUCO - my file was transferred on May 30, 2011... I got request for Re-pcc, re-imm forms and proof of ruksati last month .. I have sent all the requested documents on April 7, 2012 , now waiting for re-medical and passport request ..Please keep us all in your prayers ..

InshAllah you should expect nothing else but Remed+PPR together ......i think if it was re-med only you would've gotten it by now as they usually send remed just after a week of sending re-imm forms etc.......but i guess this time they're gona send you both letters together........plus yours is a wife case which makes it more probable for you to get PPR next
btw they asked you to send rukhsati proofs.........is your case nikah only one??

They are doing Initial Review...and in a few days time it will give you a date and say "we started processing your file on xx date"...just keep checking.

They will correspond with you in about 2.5 weeks time after the processing date. Expect re-med and re-pcc docs at the end of April.

My case was different. I had to wait 5 weeks after after processing date b/c PPR was sent to Canadian mailing address.

thanks raptor for replying ..........well i think instead of remed i might receive re-imm forms+re-pcc first........and i don't know the exact date they started processing my file as i checked my Ecas after a few days yesterday and saw In Process
yeah i remember, in your case it came to your consultant in canada.......but in mine it's great Pakistan Post......i hope nothing gets messed up and the docs reach me safely.........oh well i better meet my local postman now

howcome my ecas never changed to inprocess It still says application received .. I think the status on ecas is changed to inprocess when they send re-medical and PPR !

Tuco - I applied last year on the basis of Nikkah ..Rukasati is completed in Jan 2012 and got letter in march 2012 for plans of ruksati n blah blah

Hmm no signs of re-med request so far ...The last letter i got was dated Mar 13, 2012 ... It's been more than a month i haven't heard from them Let's hope for the best
