CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2011 -2012

Hello,

I am a new user to this forum and was wondering if someone could help me out. Today Alhumdulillah I recieved a request for a remedical for my husband's application. We were married in Feb 2011 and applied in March 2011. Along with the request for remedical we also recieved a request for him to send his origional passport and 2 passport sized photographs. I have a few questions...Firstly, because they did not request any additional proof does that mean the rest of our file is ok and they do not require any other information? Also, if they required an interview would this information have been mailed along with the request for a remedical? Lastly, is it usual for a request for the origional passport to be made at this time and if so, where does that put us in the timeline? Sorry for asking so many questions but I appreciate any help! Thanks.

wife did re med and by reading someones post here called the doc in lahore and got my tracking number for dhl. the medical arrived in delhi on march 12. Now the question is do they mail in back to islamabad and if yes after how long or how long is the process in delhi and how do islamabad gets the results?

clearly you can tell im getting impatient with this even though i know its almost the last thing they have to check.

by the way for those who dont know... applied for wife on jan 2011 she get re med and send in passport request on feb 2012 and her re med has now arrived in delhi. dont know whats next?? any aides??

COngratulations. Next step is to request for Passport if they did not requested when they sent a letter to get medical. My wife got her medical done in the last week of March and sent her passport at the same time, as it was requested in the letter.

Regarding medical, I have heard that once the document is in Delhi, they review the results, and attach the results to the file, which can then be accessed by Islamabad office. In this digital age, any document that we sent is imaged and made available for the case worker. This doesn't mean that they destroy the paper, paper is kept in record for certain time.

My wife status still shows In Process and it is over 25 days now but this is normal. Not sure when doc mailed the results to the Delhi office and when they received. However, it is a waiting game for us as passports (wife and daughter) are with the embassy since 21 March 2012.

There are number of insurance companies out there to get health insurance. For example, Sun Life, Manulife, TD Insurance, etc.

Many have already replied to this but here is what would I do.

- Send the letter with proof of visit to CHC-ISB (Postal mail)
- Send the photocopy of RPRF receipt to CHC-ISB (Postal mail). You can also email to the immigration office. (I emailed the copy to the immigration office and got a confirmation with-in 24 hrs)
- Tell your sponsor to postal mail the Copy2 of the RPRF receipt to the Mississauga office. (You can get the address from the CIC website) (I did the same)

Just wanted to drop in and say Hi. I've been an observer for a few days and am gratefull to read all the updates.

I'm a canadian citizen who got married in July 2011 and Filed in November 2011. I'm sponsering my wife, and it was a full marriage, not only nikkah.

File is in CHC-ISB other then that no real news. I'll keep updating to let anyone who's interested know what my situation is....

PPR to immigration section

nope...

If its PPR then its to Visa Section.

If its Re-med + PPR then its to Visa Section.

If they ask for just Re-med and/or Re-pcc and imm forms and additional proofs, in this case its to Immigration section.

I confirmed it from the embassy yesterday..they said visa and immigration sections are same..no need to worry guys !

Thanks for the clarification. I guess they use the 2 separate types of address to differentiate between types of documents they receive.

Yah but if someone sends it to immigration section instead of visa section that doesn't matter at all so everybody just chill !

Usrain-What documents were requested ? Is it a husband or wife case? Please shed some details

they requested some Add Docs like Tax-return / bank statements / Pakistani-Nationals-Form / re-PCC / Re-Med / and proof that my sponsor (wife) is living with me / etc and its a husband case.

Thanks for the clarification. I guess they use the 2 separate types of address to differentiate between types of documents they receive.

One address is for delivering regular mail and one is for courier services such as TCS and DHL. These courier services don't deliver at the PO BOX address.

About my wife case from Afghanistan, Islamabad started on 18 August 2010, she received re medical request on November 2011, & till now it is April 13rd 2012 we don't have any letter from them yet. any one in this stage or do u guys know when the will request the passport for visa?

That's very strange that your wife didn't hear anything yet. I would suggest emailing them and finding out about your status.
