Just for general information, a case can't be transferred from one embassy to another once the application is filed and sent to the embassy. It can only happen if the person has been living in the OTHER country for more than a specific amount of time.

The length is one year of legal residency in another country. And I agree with you that it is not easy to transfer a case but the option is available. However, it is not recommended. But there can be a situation when file (case) needs to be transferred.

Yeah, it should only be the last option unless there is a huge different in those two countries timelines. Otherwise its not worth it.

Well the recent good news is they erased ALL cases prior to 2008. That should help speed things up!

this sucks its been more than a month since the application got in process, still waiting to hear from embassy. Seems like they got back to the snail pace again !!!! it sucks to wait sooo long!!!
