Okay I just gave an updated answer based on the current situation. Since we have members waiting from October AOR's to have their initial review done, so I said 12-13 months based on the current speed of CHC-Islamabad. Same with the total process timing, it will increase to 14-17 months by the time October AOR's will get the Visa. WES has always been right on about most of the information.

I don't think they will have any issues with the external hard drive, but its better if you wife keeps the external hard drive with the luggage rather than her handbag. Its useless to bring the CPU in my opinion.

Bro why don't you tell her put her project on laptop and there won't be any issue to bring laptop at all. External HD can get damaged in the Luggage or maybe she will have problem through customs. Anyway I always use laptop and USB key, never had problem.

Yes, we discussed about new laptop but unfortunately very expensive in Pakistan. Other option is we probably have external hard drive (protection) and some USB. good idea? Also, there are many things happening in Pakistan stealing laptops from the luggages in the airport, which is not safe.

I don't think anyone here has any inside connections with the Canadian Immigration dept. or Islamabad Embassy Thus, the figures shared by the members should always be regarded as rough estimates/approximate time frames. Perhaps a single source would be helpful but personally i don't read too much into the figures. In this circumstance, no one can give an exact figure

What I find really helpful is the excel spreadsheet created by some of the members. The document lists some of the cases initiated since 2009, the status of each case including objections etc., relevant comments for each case, formal closing date of cases etc. Maybe you can check this document out to gain further insight on application process if you have haven't done so already?

This has been a sure test of patience I don't mind it at all, cuz God is with those who are patient... Insh'Allah, the process will conclude one day and we will find relief from our existing condition

Yes, I am aware of the excel spreadsheet, most of them in high objection have a nikkah issues, small events, without ruskhati, and others. I have read carefully on the lists and analysis in varies results.

I understand what you say, but do we have to be waiting for two years (full of testing?) or less. Not only from God, Canada, US, UN, the world, politics are testing us and torture suffering everyday.....

can some1 tell me , i sponser my husband in oct 2009 my file transfer to isb in dec 2009 and since 2010 july it's in interview que i contact my MP and the same answer she got interview que and they dont know how long its gonna take i decided to order CAIPS now its almost 26 months i visited my husband 1 time so can i visit him again. i came back from pakistan in september 2011 after 1 year almost. so my question is it will effect my husband's case and my child's benefits. i have 2 year old son. and this is my second marriage and second sponsership case.
Please help me if some1 knows.

Your husband shud get interview letter soon may be in couple of months max, u can always visit there is no problem in visiting. I am also in Interview queue.

Have you ordered CAIPS/GCMS notes to see what the reason for the interview is?

Are you sure? Will they call Employer some questions? maybe they will ask why quit job?

They don't write the reason of interview in caips/gcms, only people with rukhsati objection get the clear picture of objection else there is no other way to find out the reason of interview.
