CAN NE ONE PLZ TELL ME THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CAIPS NOTES AND GCMS NOTES ... HOW V CAN APPLY, AFTER HOW MANY DAYS V CAN GET IT , THROUGH WHAT AND IF THERE IS NE HARM DOING SOOOOO......

umm CAIPS is just the old term I guess...its all GCMS now. Its usually within 30 days that you get a response for GCMS. If you order the electronic version then I don't think there is any risk or affect to your process.

as for how to apply/order:

It's too early for you to order Gsms Notes.

Fill out the two forms listed below; IMM5475E has to be filled out by your spouse in Pakistan (Ask him/her to fill it out, sign it, and then scan it back to you).

You have to fill out IMM5563E.

Pay the fee online with your credit card, here: https://eservicesak.cic.gc.ca/epay/order.do?lob=6

CIC will e-mail you the payment confirmation receipt. You can save the receipt or print it.

Scan and attach both forms along with the payment receipt and e-mail the documents to
atip-aiprp @ cic.gc.ca with GCMS ORDER in your subject. In the body, just write your name, File number and email address.

i cant even go Pakistan bcoz my passport has expired and my PR will expire soon and it will takae time to get both renewed

It wont take that long if you send them your booking for pak

Just for info. one can get pakistani visa for 1 year for $190. My sister just got one for her son nd it's with multiple entry. She applied for NICOP too, but had to go in emergency.

did it take 15 months to complete ur immigration process?

COngrats on becoming a parent. It is a VERY BAD IDEA to tell CHC that ur going for longer then 2 months, dont tell CHC anything and jus go but take lots of pictures and proof of visit so that u can send to CHC after words and they can pick up ur case faster

jus dont tell them ur leaving to pakistan more then to months n if u tell them ur visiting they will ask for copy of ticket along wit passport and visa stamp which will show them that ur going then longer. best of luck and have fun with ur child.

Yah if anybody don't have paki passport they can get a visa for a year.

Congrats....It's nothing to do with CIC .... But if Ull b on parental leave u can't go out of Canada(double check with service Canada) otherwise u will not get parental portion.

Just wondering why is it a bad idea to tell them that you are gone more than 2 months?
doesn't that show relationship is genuine if you are visiting?
Does it matter if you are a citizen or PR?

if you are a Permanant resident and stay out of Canada for long period of time and dont have a job to go back in Canada then that works against you

If you are on Parental benefits, you actually have a job to return to so it does not matter, however if you have stayed out of Canada after getting PR and by going out of Canada again you somehow will lose your residency requirment (2 years in a 5 years period since your initial landing) then it could be a problem


Your parnetal benefits are not affected if you are out of Canada

Waalikumaslam,

taking parental leave does not affect ur sponsorship at all....i have had done that before and i m still on parental leave.....last time when i did it i lived in Pakistan for 6 months....u can live as much as want it wont affect the amount of EI u get and it wont affect ur spousal application. You cant leave country only if u r on unemployment ei but u r on parental so u can leave anytime.

For sure he can go but will u proof it pls that for sure he will b receiving his parental portion.
