Congratulations. Did you ever involve the MP in your case? I have heard mixed reviews from people that involving MP speeds up the process. Not sure how true that is.

Question for everyone else on the forum: How does involving the MP help the case? I have heard of a 2012 case which was completed in 8 months since the sponsor kept pestering his MP constantly. My understanding was the MP can only do queries with CHC as to where the file is, etc. but based on people's experience, it seems like they can do more than queries.

Can she sponsor me under spousal sponsorship while living here in Pakistan?
She doesnt work and has no stable income stream here, will this be a problem?
Im an Mba from an elite Pakistani business school, have been working in family business and freelancing online.

We Have decided to move to canada. My wives sister also lives in canada.

Yes she can but since shes been living there for a while you will need to prove them that she will come back. I heard even if u r a citizen dont live outside of Canada** for more than 3 months or else it raises red flags. she needs to provide her current tax return. income is not a requirement so dont worry about that.

She has filed no taxes in canada.. She was not earning when she moved to pakistan. She neither files any returns here.

Oh Oh .. this is alot more than I thought. see option C printout from CRA is a requirement - there are exceptions***
I think senior members would be able to reply you in detail. I would say look at the forms on your own in detail - it will help you a lot. there is always a way out.

I just found this thread and somebody said their partner didnt file taxes for 15 years, here is the reply:


about the option C - I am not sure why your partner has never filed taxes. If it is because he was out of Canada, then it should be no problem - my partner did that, and he explained why he didn't have an option C, but how much money he made, photocopy of payslips etc, and how he plan to support us while in Canada, and he was approved as a sponsor.

need help....on monday my status change into DECISION MADE on tuesday my canadian address appeared on my status but right now i received mail from CIC minister ....actually i mail him on 18 sep when m not getting response...but now i received this mail can any body help me wat it's mean????

This is in reply to your correspondence dated September 18, 2012, addressed to the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism, concerning the status of your wife's application for permanent residence (APR).

Our records confirm that this application was recently (November 22, 2012) concluded. The final decision was communicated to your wife in writing.

I hope that this information is of assistance.

m confuse about this statement... The final decision was communicated to your wife in writing...m not understanding....visa stamp is pasted on passport or not or they rejected????

wait for a few days. Maybe its talking about ecas. but since ur address changed why would it be a negative decision?
