It gets harder and harder when you have a feeling that your application is close to getting finalized. I hate the wait too now.

Im going to wait one more week for my GCMS notes as my 30 day period will be over soon. If i dont hear anything, I'm calling my MP.

My MP has been helpful in the past as i did inquire about my case once. He got a reply back from CIC-I in one day.

You are lucky one . My Mp office is so rude yesterday I called them and they said no reply from Chci . This is on going answer from last 6 week sense I been there office and request them to enquiry about my application.

what i have learn from this is it is really important to have give them all the prof at the being of your case, i had medical and police clearance done before plus i had a lawyer who know how this all works out, before i went to get married in sep 2011 i had all the paper work ready my wife just had to sign it.

so all i am saying that did all my search plus i had the file organized by the lawyer and i did not other cic for anything, when they ask for something i send it with in time.

almost everyone on this forum provided everything to CIC with the initial application package. Also provided them everything whenever they needed winthin the given timeframe or better to say asap... it has nothing to do with all this its just luck and how CIC works... i would say my application was very good, presentation of everything was perfect but they are still taking their sweet time soooo jab Allah chahey ga Visa ajaega

I helped one of my friend put togather applicatin same like mine two months after my own application .....ALHUMDULILLAH his case is done....... and im still waiting ..... so my friend its not me ....its not you..... its not your lawyer...... its not even CHC ....... its all about blessing from Allah SWT

I also did all this that u mentioned n wen to Pakistan for my husband to jus sign papers n I came here n filled it out n send it along wit his medical which we did before our wedding and everything.

It all depends on ur faith Wen Allah Swt Plans He Plans better than anything.
I used non stop complain, but now I kno that this CHC system has gotten be soo close to Allah swt that I would not trade the world for, its all Planned out by Allah Swt and its for ur best.
Having Patient and Making Dua is the only Weapon in getting Closer to Allah swt and For Allah swt to help you.

wow your mp is really fast... its been more than a month and i am still waiting for a reply from mp... i emailed him again and he said he got a call from CIC that they are behind in responding to MPs... so lets see how many more months he will take to reply me :

Both of you are so right about that. But all the same, why does a simple technical process have to be so unpredictable. I trust Allah SWT, and I know that He is a way better planner than any one of us. But, seriously? It has to be THAT unpredictable and unfair?

let me share a sad story with all you that i saw yesterday

unlike you might think it was not in pakistan it was in canada,

yesterday i was in mississauga at dinner time ..... i went to one of the famous desi restaurants and ordered my food ..... my table was close to the service desk ..... as i was waiting for my food ..... a new immigrant pakistani sister entered the restaurant with her resume and went to service desk ..... and made the biggest mistake that almost all of us make as new immigrants and told the restaurant owner " i am a new immigrant to canada and im looking for a job ", sister looked well educated, confident and well spoken .... had she not told them she was new to canada no one would have guessed ..... well long story short they took her interview offered her job working less then part time working hours worst working time, unpaid training with $6 an hour rate after training .......... this is not just illegal, its wrong at so many different levels ....... i know if she was applying at Mcdonalds, burger king or tim hortons this would have not happened ....... like myself and many other immigrants that came to canada i am sure that sister will find her way and become successful one day .... but the question is .... how much contribution our pakistani community is going to have in her success .... or if this trend will continue and WE WILL ALL BE THERE FOR EACH OTHER ONLY TO KICK THEM WHEN THEY ARE DOWN ........ i think like all other good deeds being unfair and unpredictable starts from within our own community.

my suggestion to all newcomers is ..... i know all of you are waiting for your passport but please ask question about your options after coming to canada .... and what can you guys do before coming to canada that will help you guys after you come here ..... and every one that is already here let us please try and help our newcomer friends ...... just because we are out of that hole does not mean every one has to go through the same

When CHC change the status of Ecas from application recived into Process, what does it means? is it means they done the background and security checks or they still keep working on that or they newly start the background and security checks? plz kindly let me know

Hey twinkle i emailed my mp last night he replied back saying call in our office to discuss i jsut called spoke to his assistant he told me i will be honest there wont be any update for now contact us in janauary and we will get better i dea then ... he also said updated timeline for pakistan is 28 months i dont want to trust him on that lol ...

Education is the key for success is the country...What you were in back home is a past story... So the fact is that people who are coming to Canada as spouse going to have high demand and exception in Canada than other type of immigrant because of their prior obligation to their family members in back home (e.g sending money, sponsoring brother/sisiter/parent and etc...).... It's very difficult to continue your study here while having family;thus, most people give up education and start working in very bad condition to earn money and help their family back home.... Partnership life is not fairytale in Canada..if you give up education, you will end up in welfare + bring more kids to get more child support

Can you name the Restaurant? I will not be going there in the future and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

When I got my first job as a student I was making $6.85 which was about 12 years ago. These people are brutal and still paying 6/hr which is almost half of the minimum wage.
