ok its written review by immigration officer NOT decision making officer.....r both the same?

i am so nervous about how is mail sent to a village in pakistan from CHC - ISLAMABAD

My spouse missed two mails sent by Islamabad to karachi, which costs us 2 months delay. We came to know about the missed mails in response to the inquiries.
Imagine, the reliability of mail delivery in Pakistan. You better ask them to send all correspondance on emails if you have a reliable internet system in the village.

The decision making officer is immigration officer genarally speaking. So its hard to determine. But since interview is conducted it should go to decision making officer to make a decision.

Let's hope it is in que with decision making officer, since he is an immigration agent anyways as UOC said...

Do folks have a rough idea how long the wait might be for the file to reach the decision making officer after the re-medical has been done?

My wife got her remedical done (and submitted) around June 20th. I am looking for a rough estimate for when we might be getting the ppr. I realise there are others on this forum who did their remedical the same time as ours and have already gotten their ppr requests (and in some cases their visas).

In a recent email by the consulate, we were told our file is in queue with the decision making officer.

Thanks.

Okkk! so i pulled out my PCC which was submitted with my application, i had a doubt and thats what made me RECHECK and i was right. My Pcc is issued on jan 28.11! and my file was TRANSFERRED in march 25! it expires in 3days what do i do? shud i resend voluntarily? I'm only 4months down the road. I also hv emailed once again (in working hours) for file number! how am i even suppose to send/correspond without my file number? didnt send medical since the re-medical request comes and only wastes time. KIA KAROON PPL! am i suppose to resend pcc along with medical now to save time so wen they do open up my file my medical has time as well and nothing is missing or expired! confused!!

My take on this is that you wait until you get your application number via email. Whatever you send to the embassy right now might potentially get tagged to the wrong file, and might not make it to your file.

Don't worry about PCC too much as they would ask for a Re-PCC anyways with Supp forms. As far as your File # is concerned, they usually reply within a week. So wait a couple of weeks and if you don't hear anything till then, send another email to them in working hours.
