Just a positive comment that lately, I have been getting to know about various skilled category immigration cases, which are being finalized within a matter of weeks after their medicals or re-medicals. I have never seen such a quick response by Canadian Immigration Authorities. So guys, fingers crossed. This may happen with family sponsorhip cases too and my prayers are with you.

Cheers.

Sorry but we haven't seen such progress for Spouse cases :(

May I request your comments please. As I stated in one of my previous posts that I applied under skilled category and due to some factors coupled with grave misunderstanding on my part, I mentioned my wife and a kid to be non-accompanying members for the time being (their details were fully given in the forms though). However, I wrote them separately & clearly that I would sponsor them once I am settled in Canada. As a result, CHC-I required all the educational documents, police certificate, medicals of wife, while my kid was also subjected to medical. CHC-I also required fund requirements based on 3 members, instead of only one member (myself) - I initially thought, they would require fund balance requirement for myself only. I got my immigrant status, got my PR Card and am back to Pakistan with a plan to move to Canada pretty soon. I understand that I can only sponsor my family, while I am in Canada.

In this scenario, do you think, following para on CIC website would apply to my case. My say is that I am safe and it doesnt apply to me and I am eligible to sponsor my family, as they were examined for the immigration requirements. But, still worried. What do you say about the following?

Relationships that are not eligible
You cannot be sponsored as a spouse, a common-law partner or a conjugal partner if:

•your sponsor immigrated to Canada and, at the time they applied for permanent residence, you were a family member who should have been examined to see if you met immigration requirements, but you were not examined

Skilled workers are handled at London Office not at ISB :D so there is no chance.

The last couple of pages have made me depressed too- It felt as if I had written all of that, could relate to it totally!
On a lighter note, are there desis working at CIC-I? I was seriously thinking, if there are, then who is applicable to work/intern there? If its possible then im ready to volunteer as long as stuff gets done on time and we are all on that side of the world asap!
