MP,s are not supposed to speed up your immigration process. When you go to your MP, he or she only promise to get a status of your application, not to speed up the process. Infact they don,t have even 1% impact on Visa Officers.

VOs are not bound to entertain the requests of MPs to process the applications expeditously even the request of Minister of Citizenship & Immigration Canada under which they are working and that is their beauty.

They are not like our MPs who become the owner of their ministery.

Guys, does anybody have any more update on your file.

Please share.

I don't understand what they mean by QUEUE FOR REVIEW... does it mean they haven't finished reviewing our file during these 8 months>? or there is something they don't understand or have doubts which is taking the process long...in which case they may call for interview?...

Hi, today i received a letter for CHC-Islamabad stating that they need all my police certificates again and want me to fill out the supplemental information form which i already sent to them earlier with the application form. My question is this request for all the stuff means that my immigration process is near completion or its going to take some more time still. anybody who has gone thru this process please help me out, please i shall be greatful :)

Well CHC ISB is acting crazy these days they are requesting people with different documents when you had already submitted your supplementary form there was no need to ask that form again and as far as PCC is concerned they should be asking you now only a fresh one from where you currently reside but atleast its a good news for u that ur case is in process.

They asked me the same thing, and now its been 3 months i have not heard anything from the embassy except my case is in back ground checks... its been 14 months since my case has been forwarded to Islamabad. I don't know how much more time is it going to take. Done Re-Medical .. submitted police certificate second time... its insane... i hate it.. .with back ground checks you can never tell how long it will take. in husband cases when they are asking for police certificate for the second time it is going for background checks.. if you have lived in more than one country then the back ground checks take even longer... my husband has only lived in Pakistan , no military back ground still its been 3 months no response.

Hi, everyone.

I also wanted to be part of this forum as I am also waiting for my husband to get his visa.. and join me here in Canada.

Maya & Warya, your case start processing in Dec so do mine in Jan at CHC-ISB,about a month after now I have to follow you guys for good news :D

Here is the joke of the day " I belive that we PAKISTANIES are at the NO.1 list worldwide in getting married, this tell me that CHC all over the world process the case in avg 3-4 month but because of being at NO.1 CHC-ISB cannot handle the volume so every body is in que"

Cheers.
