Thank You.

Yes, It does take about 8 months to 1 year. 8 months is still very good. 1 year is normal.

This is happening due to Pakistan's security levels stated by Canada. Canada has put Pakistan on the 3rd risk level. Which says, " Avoid all non-essential travel to Pakistan "... and this level also restricts the movement of Canadian officials including the embassy in Islamabad.

In short, a year ago, there were for instance, 12 Canadian immigration officers in Islamabad. Now there are 4 to 6. They have called
some back due to threats. Thats why, anyone who basically applied after May 2009, its bit of a delay. But sometimes i guess you could be lucky... you never know. The general work though in the embassy has slowed down.

Thanks Ali.

Absolutely not. Nothing sent after i filed the application. I made sure i include emails, letters, western union slips, alot of pictures, telephone cards, phone bills, chat transcripts, family pictures....

I didn't want them to delay and ask me for more stuff... I tried to bombard them with as much.

So thank God, they replied after a full 9 months dead silence.

The medical expiration was first time i heard from them.

I guess 1 yr is very normal, but what about more than 1 yr. I am into my 13th month. I guess i'll wait for another week and apply for Caips after that

Does anyone know about this petition and who is behind this or they just trying to collect data ?

I could not find who created the petition and how they are going to use it to benefit people in our shoes ?

Finally got the AOR :D phewwwwww
and it says my application was received on 24-3-10 it means 3 months already gone :D
but this is kinda confusing my application was received by CPCM on 24th March and Approved on 20th April
so it means they are counting days since the application was received at CPCM

Any comments ? now preparing documents to send

no AOR yet :(

Hi psionator,

Hang in there, InshAllah you will receive AOR in the next week or two. The last few including my wifes took exactly 2 months from the date application was forwarded to ISB to arrive. My wifes arrived in the mail as well.

I do recommend following the advice of bestplace4u and have the supplimentary information formed completed in advance. The link posted in bestplace4u's msg can get you a copy. Then when you receive AOR, you can save time by filling out their sent form, then TCS it right away.

My wife just TCS's our supplementary form today, 2 weeks after receiving AOR.

InshAllah you will receive word soon :)

Thanks for the reply. I guess I'll wait till July 6 before sending them an email, that way I will have waited 2 months.

asimkhan,

That is wonderful news! Congrats on PPR.

This is my first post to this forum although i have been reading your posts since quite some time . ISB is getting slower day by day , dont know the reason but a couple of months back they issued the AOR within a month and now they are taking 2 months plus . The reason behind the delay might be the transfering of FSW applications to the London Visa office.
