Great news!!! My wife also got PP back with visa last night / her morning!! 8) ;D ;D 8)

Timeline
Applied November 17th 2010
Ecas updated Jan 2011 that file was received (AOR) Dec 23rd 2010
Supplement & updated Forms April 2012
Re-Medical issued May 15, Received June 6th, Done June 27th and ecas update July 21st 2012
Re-PCC requested June 26th.
PPR Feb 9th 2013
PP Return Feb 20th 2013 (11 days - 1 day delay due to TCS issue).

Total time 27 months (26 from AOR).

Other Info
- Applied with Nikkah case
- Did Rukshati following year + to avoid any objection.

Lessons learned personally and from other members here.
- Assume it will take 26 or max time for Process. Plan your life around that. Don't hope for a quick process.
- There were many opportunities we didn't avail, thinking, its almost done, 1 more month. Oh Re-Medical! Now only 1-2 months more. etc. Its easier to break plans and pack-up and go rather than sit in the unknown and make no plans.
- Do full wedding instead of Nikkah and wedding. We ended up spending more money and organizational hassle. Don't get me wrong, I loved all events and had fun! This will also avoid objection from CHC regarding consummation of marriage.
- On initial application, send photos, travel boarding passes, other information. This did help and we also updated on wedding time. To remove any doubt from them.
- If you can, avoid having children as that will prolong your file and create complications with Medicals and Paper work. Not to mention personal depression of being away from your spouse and child.


If anything pops in my head, I will let you know.

Also, my wife got the PR Sticker on passport but also received PR letter but has watermark of Not Valid for Travel. I asked her to take it with her just in case but Sticker of PR should be enough.

Hi Everybody - Does anyone know if once you get the passport back with other documents are they landing papers.. I thought Landing documents are in a sealed documents (which states do not open) which is to be opened only by the visa officer at the port of entry. Has this process changed? someone who have recently received passport back can you please confirm.

Alhamdulilah my husband have received his visa and the timeline is exactly as Canadianbear. AOR December 23, 2010 and PP received Feb 20, 2012. Total of 27 months except that his re-medical was requestede in march 2011 and completed in April 2011.

Ishaak & Zia bhai - We are still waiting IN SHA ALLAH!! ALLAH KERE HUMARA BHI FEB 2013 KE END HONAY SE PEHLE MIL JAYEE, AMEEN!

Our passport was collected mid November after my husbands interview finished (same-day) and to date we have not received his passport back!

I sent 4-5 emails since for an update and no reply from CHC ISB, its like they don't read my emails at all, LOL

Anyways, I spoke to my MP yesterday and he asked me to forward all the emails I have sent and that he will push them for a status update.
I told him that CHC ISB has my husbands passport for over 3 months now and that is completely ridiculous and insane.
They are not supposed to hold onto a passport for that long, something fishy going on their.
Let's see what happens now, I hope my MP gets some sort of reply from CHC ISB or OTTAWA.

I will keep you posted IN SHA ALLAH

There was an older list on the forum and the longest CHC ISB took to return a passoprt was BEENALI 97 days

for me it has been 95 days today, lets see how many more days I have to wait.

I received today, landing papers are those jin k ooper big heading mai likha hai CONFIRMATION OF PERMANENT RESIDENCE and thats the only document other than PP and other original docs and pics send by CHC. Sealed koi doc nahi tha and so kisi pe likha bhi nahi tha donot open. process change ka to nahi pata but isi saME document ki 2 copies hain...jin k most bottom mai likha hai ek pe CLIENT COPY and ek pe CIC COPY. Photograph wali CIC ki hai jo immigrant ko landing k baad immigration officer ko deni hogi. Helped?

Thanks alot Jaania for good wishing... believe me mene aaj apo yad kia tha when many members were wishing us, I thought aap kahaan gayin and thought apko pata nahi kabhi visa rcv hogya hoga thats y u nt vziting forum but u back with more no. of days of PP hold by CHC. Well, Allah ek din layega ap dono klye bhi...thats great that u people r waiting for PP, there are people who waiting for PPR and remed and etc. May Allah take u out of this and may u be happy always with your dear spouse.

That was a really old forum member tho, things changed since, that is why I am using BEENALI's example.
